If your 11 year old car w/ 190k miles on it and a cracked windshield is worth $3k, my 9 year old one with 54k miles and in mint condition must be worth $9k...stock

That thing is worth about $1500.

on kbb not including the cracked windshield my car is worth 2600. i can have a new windshield put in for 200. making it worth the 3000.... so there is no reason to be a smart a** and say my car is only worth 1500

my brother in law just sold his 96 talon non turbo automatic with 200,000+ miles today for 2000. i know my car is worth more than that

i could get a grand am with half as many miles on it for that price and that's here in alaska. just by using craigslist, i know that cars cost half as much down there as they do up north.

$2600? How do you figure? What did you use as miles on the car to get that estimate? Even knocking off 50k miles for having the different engine, its still only worth $1900 on kbb.

"Good" is 2300, but it needs a new windshield, which is $200 or so. Thats with giving you a 50k mile break.

These cars aren't worth much.

Regardless of what this car is truly worth, I don't recall seeing in the original post where he asked for any of your input. If your not interested, gtfo.

bump.

Why does every for sale thread turn into a yelling...er...typing match. Stupid people will always be trying to get more than their car is worth, and intelligent people will always be telling them that. WHY get pissed at each other

because people with intelligence can't help but putting in the correct word. it's the basic principle upon which our society revolves

Next time YOU are interested in purchasing something, make sure you just go buy it without checking to see what its actually worth, ok? Surely you wouldn't want other people that have more experience with the item to give you insight as to what its worth.

That statement does not make sense. He is not looking to buy something so your "insight" isn't necessary. KBB isn't god, sure its a good reference to go off of but not the ten commandments. Its simply his opinion against yours, or anyone elses', and you know what they say about opinions...

I'm willing to bet that I have much more experience with what Grand Ams sell for than he does, and when I recognize a price that is too high, I have no problem letting the other people on the board know that. I fail to see why you should even care.
