wing options

I hate the wing on the Grand Am. Please post pics of others. I am just after something simple, tasteful and clean (no 3 foot aluminum ones! )

I find the factory one to be a bit over styled and odd.

You look at the SC/T styled one?

SC/T wing is pretty close to stock so it won't look a lot different, but it's a nice option for something with a little more style but not too obvious. RK sport wing is also pretty nice looking. Kinda smooth style and a little bigger but still works with the stock body lines. Then there's the Razzi Alero wing, which IMO looks pretty darn good too!

Didn't you have to mod the spoiler quite a bit for good fitment, Aaron?

I wouldn't suggest a wing. These cars aren't fast enough to fly anyways.

No, not really. It was designed for the Alero and their trunk is exactly the same as ours except for a small ridge along the side. People have bolted them straight to grand am trunks and they fit pretty well with only a small gap. I just wanted no gap at all so I molded mine on. Didn't actually modify the wing at all though.

Oh, of course... the stock holes are much further in on the trunk, so you need to drill new holes. I just place my wing where I wanted it with the provided rubber pads under it then lifted the wing off so I could use the pads as templates to mark the hole locations. Easy. Some people just put some bolts through the old holes with some rubber washers under them to keep water out, some have them welded/filled... just depends on if you want to have the trunk repainted. IMO if you have to get the wing painted anyway, might as well do the trunk too. It doesn't cost much more since they are already spraying the same color.

Awesome, good to know.

I might just get a spoilerless trunk to play with if I ever decide to tackle this.

Do they still sell/manufacture the Razzi spoiler?

Yes I thought about posting your entire car, especially in the hood thread he started.
I really like the looks of your car. What I want to do with mine eventually.
