Damn car is straight pissing me off, tried the pcm relearn twice today with no luck.

Most of the time when passlock is getting in the way, the security light should FLASH, right? Mine has NEVER flashed, just stays on.

when i did my relearn i didnt notice any flash.
this the way i did it.
1 roll down window
2 got out and closed door.
3 turned the key to on.
4 left to get a bite to eat and watch a movie.
5 came home and noticed light was out.
6 cranked it and fired it off.

wtf

If I could leave my car unattended with the key in it and window down in my area, I certainly would. I'll have to try it next time I'm doing yard work or something, since its just sitting on the street and not in my garage.

I'm thinking its not security related. Is your engine light on? There's still a few other things keeping it from starting like a crank sensor or something.

very possible since the relearn is crank position related.
but my guess is it usually throws some kind of code.

when you turn the key on does your fuel pump run?
check the engine codes, could be something there. Also when you turn on the car the ses light does light up, checking the bulb and all correct. I had the car fail to start but when I turned the key on the ses did not lite nor did the fuel pump start. All I needed to do though was turn off the key and try again.

The security relearn and the crank position relearn are totally unrelated issues.

Fuel pump turns on every time. I'd have to check, but I don't remember the engine light doing anything out of the ordinary.

I'm about to tow it over to the local shop and let them deal with it.

ltpats Still kinda new, but learning
My car cranks, wont start, no fuel pressure so ok re[laced the fuel pump, started right up, let it sit overnight, same thing crank no start, dead battery. put my battery charger on it, set is at 60 amp boost waited 5 seconds fired right up ran great, If I let the car sit for more than 4 hours it will not start, do the relearn, kills battery, hook 60 amp boost up, starts right up, I also replaced the ignition tumbler. Anyone have any ideas? I forgot to add had battery load tested, check out ok, if I leave it sit it will crank no problem but wont start, have to crank the battery down to dead then hook up the boost, it will start everytime like that, no security light on either. fuel related because it will start with starting fluid just wont stay running or maybe fuel control related

Anybody? There is also a difference between the way Alldata and the owners manual says to do the relearn process. Owners manual does not specify that you crank the engine and let it go back to the on position and let set for 10 minutes whereas Alldata does. I tried it both ways 3 times, nothing. The only difference since I put the ignition tumbler in is the security light doesn't stay on during the relearn like it did before, this thing is driving me nuts !!! Any help would be greatly appreciated since when I take it to the dealer the first thing they will say is well since you have an aftermarket sound system it could be anything. Sound system has been in for 2 years now.
