i keep getting a code for my IAT sensor, I think thats what it is... but it hasnt come up in awhile? when i wired the maf back up after cutting all wires to look at it. When I rewired them all the wires were faded and were hard to tell the colors apart so im not sure if i didnt hook iat up to wrong thing. shouldnt be the problem of the starting though...

Yeah, that hard line on the back is the supply line for the heater core. It has an O-ring on it where it goes into the LIM, and there is a tab welded on part way back with a notch that goes over a stud on the rear head, and a 13mm nut that is supposed to go over that. That is what holds it in.
The other problem... not sure but if the fuel pump was failing I doubt it would go rich. Should go the other way around and go lean, or shut off all together.

Sticking injector or a bad O2 sensor could do that.

code 1626 keeps popping up... explains why it dont want to start and security light flashes and such... and why PCM could be going nuts. just dont know where to start with it.

yeah like i have loads of trouble trying to start my car after i drive it around. it will start up instantly after like 2nd crank, i could pull it out of my driveway, shut it off, and it wont start for half an hour, and fuel cut out like crazy... anyone have an idea? i was watching my gauges on DHP, i couldnt even get above 3 grand without breakage... injector pw goes to about 6, i dont get any KR, i reset trims, my LTFT was 3 % and stft went from like -5-5 but a/f was like fine?

Also for Fuel Pump installation. What do we do about the fuel filter with the prongs broken off? dropped tank but cant any of hoses off going to it.. they got weird fittings, one seems like it has a flare on the end and other one goes to fuel filter and i cant even get that off.

Plastic GM Fuel Filter tool at Autozone works very well at releasing the 'clip' connectors - buy em. Unless you want to replace the lines be careful working the remains out....

The only concerns i have now is that i have a vaccum leak somewhere, and i cannot freaking figure out where, i redid whole intercooler charge piping, everything, vaccum lines, made sure bov wasnt sticking open.
But another concern is my spark advance, idles around 30 degrees, slow accel it goes to 11, if i wot it goes to 40 |

not sure keep getting security code 1626, car breaks up horribly and when it shuts off fuel pump dont turn on until i turn security code off... checked fuses, no dice... whats this passlock thing i've been searching? would that honestly make the car run like dump? maybe fuel pump is failing or something I don't know. when I first had it out right after i got it back together it was running like a raped ape, now security code and breaks up.

Service InformationThe Vehicle Theft Deterrent system is incorporated within the Body Control Module (BCM). The PCM monitors the state of heal the serial data message from the theft deterrent system to ensure that the PCM-BCM communications is established. If the PCM detects a loss of the state of health message while the engine is running, DTC P 1626 will be set. DTC P1626 can cause a no start condition or normal operation depending on when the loss of communication was detected. The engine will continue to start and run if the condition that set DTC P1626 occurred after the PCM received a valid theft deterrent password from the BCM and already allowed fuel during the ignition cycle. The engine will start and immediately stall if the condition that set the DTC occurred before the PCM received a valid theft deterrent password. With this condition present, the PCM will inhibit fuel delivery and disable the starter until a valid theft deterrent password is detected.
Conditions for Setting the DTC The PCM cannot communicate with the theft deterrent system. Action Taken When the DTC Sets The PCM stores conditions which were present when the DTC set as Failure Records only. This information will not be stored as Freeze Frame Records. Conditions for Clearing the MIL/DTC
Attempting to start the vehicle by bypassing the theft deterrent system or substituting parts without performing the password learn procedure may set a DTC P1631. If no password is received a DTC P1610, and P1631 may also be set. An intermittent may be caused by a poor connection, rubbed through wire insulation or a wire broken inside the insulation. Any circuitry, that is suspected as causing an intermittent complaint, should be thoroughly checked for the following items:
Test Description Number(s) below refer to the step number(s) on the Diagnostic Table:
