Also, @ how long this thread has gone on after the sale. Win.
I did come home.. For 2 weeks of R&R abd then had to go back...

But it'll be ok. I have been told now that I'm on the 1st bird smoking in late August even though my unit has been extended 30 more days than originally planned..

. It is funny that a FS thread on a car that has been sold since February is still going...

Black one. Blue one I bought locally back in 04, got wrecked in 07. I would still be driving that car if it wouldn't have been totaled.... I had already put the GT front on, had the GT rear in the garage, just was waiting for the ribs so I could have a metallic blue GT/SCT

Yes. I drove it from my folks house to Stewart he 1st day I was home on R&R and then back two days before having to fly back to Iraq..

I added about 700mi on it and drove w/ false dealership tags on it and the title was signed for by my mom in February and here it was May that I was driving around in it. I at least had insurance on it...

I prayed to God that I didn't get pulled over though...

KITT nice job. Can't wait to see the track times, when you get back to civilian life for a few weeks/months. if that happens;...

Question for ya'll...

OK. I got posed a question on the "other GA site"... . "Why not keep Kitt in her current form (i.e.: with the motor, tranny, s/c and other mods I was going to take off) and install everything from my white GA?" This does make sense and I can basically do it all on my own such as seats, painted parts, etc except I would have to get the WHOLE SC/T kit painted to match. Not to mention, NO sunroof and I love my sunroof... . The interior on Kitt is kinda shot and it has a few other minor issues, but swapping what's in mine would fix it. And most of all... I love my white GA. My uncle used to build his own street rods is willing to help me do the engine/tranny swap. If I decide to go the other route, what is a normal price range for getting a car painted the right way? What about sunroof installs? From what I've heard before, they're a complete PITA because of leaks.

Let me know what you guys think. BTW... I'm 10 days from going HOME!!!!

it will just look more mean.
either that or you buy another sc/t kit and do the black one too, and sink a bit of money into fixing it up

congrats on homecoming first off

if it were me and my dimes.. i'd keep em both, and go in a different direction with the black car. you've got one setup, now do something different, the trouble with these cars is they look good several different ways, so why not have several of them done up differently?? eeeeeh?? eeeeeeeh??

c'mon doooooo it!
