seriously, do you not have a basic clue?? Road racing is not always about flat out speed. Speed can make up for some deficiencies when exiting a corner and going down the straight away, but the time it takes to get around a track...from a mechanical standpoint...depends on how efficiently a vehicle can put the most power to the GROUND. The s2000 is a very very good handling car, because it can use a majority of it's power while holding its ground in the corners.

A RWD Vette is very difficult to handle coming out of a corner with a lot of speed. Even on a dry surface you can whip the tail out. Even a small whip of the tail can lose you .5 a second.

my friend is selling his s2000 to get a c5 corvette. it has inferior handling and power. i have driven it many many times and it is blatently obvious that the performance of the corvette is greater in every single aspect.

not that i'm praising the vette or anything. my focus was on the s2k itself. i would think someone with more driving expierience, as in a professional driver, would want something other than a s2k to go around a track fast. although it may handle fantastically, its still lacks in any straight line accel. i guess i should realize that the nurb is chock full of turns that gives the s2k the advantage. if it were on one of the many other coarses. higher powered cars would easily leave it. seen it numerous times.

s2000 could take a 350z, possibly more on that list, stock for stock. You're a pretty biased person without any knowledge of what a s2000 has.
