I sold it to a friend who basically immediately put a different spring in the wastegate and was running 10 psi of boost on completely stock internals. Tranny finally went after about 3 months of that boost. Car was tits I should have kept it, but I bought an 07 cobalt ss/sc which seemed slow compared to the grand am and was depressing. These guys dont know SH*t and I think they are all funny. BTW I had a cheapo EBAY turbo and it ran perfectly fine for the life of the car. good bye

I don't call 18 months the life of the car. I also don't call a burned out transmission "no problems" either. It was probably wearing out already while you had it even before your friend turned up the boost. That's why we told the guy if he actually wants it to run right and hold up he's going to have to spend more money. K thnx bye bench racer....

add some Z-iiing with that bling!!! with balls, of course

thats nothing anyways. i had 40,213lbs of boost, and 8 trillion horsepower at the rear wheels, and did i mention so much torque my car caused the tsunami???
yea, it's like that!

i just felt the need to add that i guess

What kind of welder do you have? And how experienced are you using it? If it's not a TIG or a gas MIG setup you won't be able to weld up any decent turbo manifolds without them looking like garbage and cracking later.

^ it's not what you have... it's what you can do.

"it's the man, not the machine"

p.s. CNC is for computer nerds. real Men turn wheels.

CNC has its pros and cons, the and if i have the tools and machines i can use them...

and i have a MIG welder its not the best but it will do for what i need...

and i perfer my digital read out mill, way more accurate and easier to use!! Still requies u to turn a wheel tho, add small drill press, surface grinder, and pedistal grinder (the one i have is **** could use some new wheels but w.e)

All I have to say is ditch the TD04. I have owned a 2.4L with a TD04 and it would start loosing boost at around 5500rpm.

TRUE THAT.. my turbo no matter how much boost im pushin (23psi) loses boost at around 5500 and by the time i get to red line to shift (6K) it is down by 18psi. so get bigger turbo for sure.
