what's wrong with teenagers modding cars? aside from the fact that we can't afford much, that should be put into the equation offering the product to those of lower income.

That lower income bull**** is played out. Most of us "hardcore" guys were able to work our asses off and afford good quality parts when we were teenagers. So quit your bitchin and work towards what you want.

^ my friend not ALL teenagers are like that... im 19, yes a teenager, and bust my ass to make my income. i work in a "you dont work, you dont get paid" environment so i have to work to pay the bills then the rest for the fun stuff. unlike most teens i grew up around ppl who were older than me and hated kids my age, and still do haha. Milzy makes basically custom parts because he doesnt just mass produce and sell, he pretty much builds to order (from what i heard) and makes everything in his shop. built in america, by an american, with american quality... your gonna pay more. i dont have an issue with saving longer and paying more because i get that piece of mind that what i purchased is a QUALITY part that will last.. just sayin

You're right that's exactly what I said, good intelligent comment.

Don't tell me I don't work my ass off, you move 65 tons, yes 130 thousand pounds of rock with a shovel and a wheelbarrow in 3 months. Please tell me I don't work hard for my money. Oh and of the $10,000 I made this summer, $9,000 went to my $35,000 a year college fund. So please tell me how I am not working towards what I want.

Thanks

Well you came off like the normal punk kid that wants to get parts but wants them super cheap, and not have to work for them

It is great you are saving for college, but 35,000 a year seems rediculous, if its not a specialized school go to a CC first to get all of your gen eds out of the way and save some money.

Oh and 65 tons? pshh, I moved 51 tons of rock by hand, every single rock in my hands, in one 16hr work day......

who doesn't want cheaper parts? honestly lets be realistic there.

51 tons in one day isn't possible with bare hands and no tools. sorry.

I want cheaper parts, but that NOT realistic.

Cheap, Fast, Reliable, Choose two.

I choose fast and reliable which doesn't mean cheap parts. Now THAT is realistic.

here

um yeah it is. 102000 lbs / 10-20lbs per rock, 10200-5100 rocks.

57600 secons in a 16hr work day. So that is grabbing a rock and thowing it in a basket every 5-12 seconds, which is really a leisure pace.

I did this when I was in high school and depending on the rock type and weight, it was a 25-50 tons of rock every day, all summer.

On a side note we could have done more than 51 tons, but we only had 2 flatbed semis and were limited to 23 pallets per flatbed, 46 pallets of rock, 51 tons.

Cheaper parts is plenty realistic. Your logic is thrown off somewhere.

I never said anything was wrong with teenagers modding cars. I was just pointing out that mostly teenagers are buying these cars now because they are getting old and are cheap and used... and everyone knows most teens don't have a lot of money to spend.

That means they are buying the cars cheap and don't have a lot of cash to spend on modding. When they were new and selling in the $20-25k range, most people buying them were 20-30 somethings out of college with better jobs and more cash to spend, and they were also willing to spend more money on mods for a newer car with lower miles. It just stands to reason.

I have no problem with teens modding cars. However I do often see many teens who don't have the (a) cash (b) experience (c) knowledge to mod their cars properly and tastefully. Most often they end up looking (and running) like a train wreck. Every now and then you run into a kid who saved up his cash and has a dad who is a car guy and teaches them how to do it right. But even I made some bad modding calls with mine back in the day (anyone remember the F&F wing? ) and I bought mine when I was 22 and my dad is a car guy.

Well I just don't like being put into a group, because I know there's tons of people that have no taste when it comes to modding, i like ti think I do.

I started knowing absolutely nothing, and learned everything on my own. Not saying I know everything, but I'm not one of those "Punk Ass Kids" as everyone likes to stereotype teenagers as nowadays, some people just need to be more careful with the words they choose to use and who they use them towards.

now that we know your comprehension skills are low, let me explain something to you.

Cheap parts = very low initial price.

Cheaper parts = lowering a price to an acceptable level, aka opening the price range to a larger group.

Nowhere did I say that I want cheap parts, I just said that cheaper parts would suit more of the community with a lower income, and maybe lower income isn't the right word, maybe just not willing to spend an obnoxious amount of money on headers.

Now, I'm not saying that the Milzy headers aren't quality parts, what I am saying is I can't justify spending that much on a product already on the market, expecially if there are no tests showing horsepower increases as is or over the competitors.

part of the issue with the limited availabitly and high price of GA parts, is that we're about the only ones doing anything besides driving the cars into the ground. we're a dying breed, not a thriving breed.

I think this thread is going way off the subject of discussing Milzy headers.
