You must be using the wrong synthetic. I've never had an issue with it, and I have always run Mobil1 or Castrol. The most important thing though is just to not run straight conventional since it doesn't hold it's viscosity as well. A synthetic blend or full synthetic will help your supercharger and your engine last longer and make more power.
Daniel; you don't have to move the battery to the trunk, but with any type of supercharger up there, it will definitely open up some space in the engine bay and give you more room to work and for other mods. If you do move it, just make sure to get a nice box and mount it securely, and use some really big cable to minimize the voltage drop. 1 awg or bigger. As for the injectors, you can run 5-6psi with stock injectors as long as you have a way to turn up the fuel pressure under boost. It's not really optimal though, and any more boost than that and you definitely need bigger injectors. Keep in mind the computer has to be programmed to use different injectors. 28 lb/hr trailblazer injectors are a direct swap and would work well for low to mid boost levels or about 220 whp. 36 lb/hr GTP injectors are good for around 10psi or up to 280 whp. They do need to be modified slightly though in order to use our injector clips to hold them to the fuel rail. I got 320 whp out of my GTP injectors, but they were maxed out the last 1k rpm to redline. I just switched back to Lucas 42lb injectors, which should be good to around 340-360 whp I think. So buy according to your plans and power goals.

Aaron I tried to run piping from the charger to the TB with the MAF and blow off valve it was a ulgy mess with the battery up there...
With the battery re-located it allows a nice smooth bend away from the charger toward the left fender and plenty of room to bend it back to the throttle body passing right beside the strut tower **right where the battery gets located with the kit as they sell it**. It was just too tight for me to make the bend nice under there with the battery under the hood. My friend Sam with a Vortech on his was hitting 110% using 22lb injectors. Once we put in the 36Lb ones he was hitting around 65% tops. His was a stock long block, no mods, just the charger on it @ 8psi |

No, you can not put the MAF there. There is a blow off valve in the charge pipe from the blower to the intake manifold, and if you put the MAF anywhere in front of that you are going to lose metered air and mess up the fuel enrichment for the engine, which can make it surge or stall. I've seen a couple people modify the standard RSM setup to add the MAF back in. Basically you have to add a big loop of piping from the blower outlet running away from the engine to give you room to add the MAF to the charge pipe (between the BOV and the throttle body) then back towards the engine and hook to the TB. That way, only air that has been metered enters the engine, and none is lost when the BOV pops open.

Check the following pic it should help to understand the routing of the tube.

ok so the MAF goes after the BOV and then connects to the TB
