I cant see more than the 25 being made. At 20 the order goes in for 25, pfyc will fill any orders placed after the order is placed with one of those five sets. Pfyc could expand the run but they would have too get more than 5 orders in the week or two window of time after the order is placed but before the tooling is pulled for which ever batch of bars they happen to make first. The clock starts when we hit 20...if more than five are paid for after the 20 in the few weeks after the order is set they MIGHT have 5 more made...but I wouldnt bet on it.

Well I didn't see anything saying that it was limited to 20. Just that members need to get 20 people to put money down and PFYC will buy 5 sets which will get us to the 25 that Speedbuilt wants to make a batch. If we get 21 people interested and PFYC buys 5 sets...I don't see the issue.

The "clock" does not start when 20 orders are made, that has not been said anywhere from what I've seen. We just need 20 before Jan 31.

Follow me here... The order of 25 will be placed immediatly upon pfyc recieving 20 deposits. Let say it happens jan 31st. (procedure explained on pfyc site if we dont get 20 by then). On feb 1st speedbuilt starts order. They say 4 to 6 weeks to finish and ship. There is a point of time in that 4 to 6 weeks (prob about a week or so...around early to mid feb) when some tooling comes off a some machine and the number of bars to be made has been set. There wil be no more made unless it is a new batch of at least 25. Soooo yes it is really a clock that starts when we hit 20. if they sell more than 5 more sets before the deadline for pfyc to increase its order to speedbuilt and they might make a few more. I dont see that happening in a week after we get 20.

I haven't seen anything saying they place the order immediately after 20 preorders.

I cut and pasted this from the site..."PFYC is required to order 25 full sets from the manufacturer, but once we receive 20 deposits, we'll place the order with them immediately. Production time has been quoted to us by the manufacturer at 4-6 weeks....."

and i would venture to bet you guys will not see a bar until 8 weeks has passed. Just be prepared for the wait!!! so if you have 20 buyers or more please realize this company is going out of its way to custom make a part for you all and if it takes them 8 weeks thats what it takes, especially if they are ceasing a production of a popular part to build this one and they choose to back burner this one if their other parts mean more money in their pockets in the short term.

X2. Order and wait. That's ok with me. Niche parts take some money and lots of time.

I am ok with a wait as well.. I have been looking since I got my alero back on the road last summer... knew about them before, but never had the cash to try and snatch a used set... now I have to wait until the 24/25th for paypal to say I can access my money to give it to PFYC

I have been trying to pair up people who want one or the other and trying to get thru to a few that won't be around after the cutoff date. I can guarantee these will never be produced again. So this is your last chance and at my last count we have 12. We have one guy waiting for bank to transfer to Paypal. So we only need 8.

I still have not bought, waiting on my tax refund, which should be the 27th, so I plan on putting in my order then.
