OBX GA 3.4L Headers on eBay

I found this on another site and couldnt believe it. For $350 and they are the exact design of the S&S headers its not a bad deal. The only thing is that I know OBX uses very thin material and god only knows how long they will last for. But hey it's still a good deal.

very interesting, I remember when I got my first grand am and looked for OBX headers. I thought they were known to make decent affordable parts though.

that's a good one. They are the same quality level as OBX. You'd be better off making some yourself.

I have these on my Malibu.

2 issues:
1: Header tube from leftmost (front) cylinder is touching the block as it goes to the crossover.
2: The cat is not a cat, there isn't even a honeycomb.

I've emailed OBX about #1, don't care about #2 as for the prices I would be shocked if such wasn't the case.

Once I get 1: fixed videos and further review to follow.

Yeah I emailed them about the cat. It is a high flow resonator and not a cat according to them. I don't know if anyone noticed the description on one of the listings saying they have 3 o2 bungs. I emailed and it is actually 1 egr and 2 o2 so it was a typo.

HOYS if you look at the first pic you can see how the farthest pipe from the crossover (i dont remember the cylinder number off hand) you can see that it curves earlier than the other 2 pipes and if you look at the second pic you can really see that it would come rather close if not touch the head. which i guess in his case it does touch

that is indeed some shi**y s**t... i would have thought that when they made the product that they would mock it up on an engine.. it almost looks like they took dimensions, maybe from pace setter? and tried to just make it and ship without test fitting. and if thats the case they obviously missed a measurement somewhere..

Considering I somehow managed to get a hole in my S&S headers that had to be repaired I wouldn't be interested in anything of similar or lesser quality. Had I cash to burn I'd buy from Milzy or Ben rather than do another S&S design job.

this stuff is made in china by little kids, what can you expect for 300$ stainless steel header? i cant even buy the materials to make stainless steel headers for 300 bucks. i doubt they even have a engine there , the took either pacesetter or S&S headers and knocked them off, no doubt the fixture they built off what ever headers they used was slightly off.

if obx is selling these for 300-350 bucks that means they are paying around 75-100 bucks for them from china. i know because i deal in china direct parts myself and know what kind of price china offers to american importers.

these are S&S knock offs.

they are half the price of what headers use to sell for when they were being produced for these cars.

half the price half the life.
