Troof! Around here, there are extremely few ls1 camaros, there are a couple gto's, but with the weight difference...eh, i dunno.

Honestly, the fastest thing I've ever been in was this car, but modded quite a bit, and a 6 speed, so nobody is suprised I finally got one thats the same color. I should have took pics of the tops when i cleaned them... hooooooooooooly sheet were they dirty.

but i'm not out to race it, not that i won't use the gas pedal, but it just takes so little to make the thing go fast, i feel like ricky bobby

Dumps are where the exhaust dumps directly to the ground underneath the car so you don't see any exhaust tips behind the car.

that's a 96/97 correct? DPM is the color scheme and I did a very clean LS1 swap on one of those last year I modified the LS1 harness to match the LT1 body harness. better to use the 98 harness in hindsight

I used to love LT1's when I was in high school and my 00 Z28 was brand new

. Throw a good catback on it, a good intake, some water wetter in there since it has reverse flow cooling, and a tune and it should definitely beat a stock LS1 gto.

Okay, gotcha. Actually, eventually, and this stuff is all a ways down the road, i really like the borla catback sound, but what it has on there is a bit quiet, but it sounds pretty good. over the years i have fallen out of love with those tips tho

It is a 95'er, actually ran back and forth from illinois to ohio most it's life! I would really like the ls1 interior (not a huge diff i know, but i like it better for some reason) and that ls1, but i'd swap the lt1 nose back onto it, i don't want a sebring/lhs looking camaro... they're (in my opinion kind of) okay looking, but I just really love this sealed beam nose.

i have a car that kept me drooling for all of my teenage years, it's a weird feeling. i've made countless models of that bodystyle, i just love them.. dunno why

i think this one MIGHT have a shift kit in it, but i'm not sure. there is no way at all, ever, that mine would take that monster you're building

Actually, that's a losing proposition for me in every way. Stock for stock, yours is faster in the 1/4 (turbo laaaaag baby... my car gets off the line like a Geo Metro). Plus, I get about 35-40 mpg on the highway, where you probably get about 20-25

Aren't they called turndowns too??? My Dakota R/T Fourm calls them that for some reason.

almost sounds like a plan! we can do 1/2 mile, for the distance we gotta drive, best of 1/4, 1/2 and 1 full mile sounds good!

i hear 30mpg stock with the 6spd, so the auto is probably right in that 25mpg range

New Car:2000 Z28 hardtop automatic, Cammed, lid, headers and full exhaust no cats, magnaflow cat back. Built trans and 3800 stall conveter. Runs 7.42 at 92.55 mph (it's a small cam 228/228 .588/.588 112 LSA) Pending a t56 manual swap and possible 6.0L with a turbo.
