I suppose if you have a doc's medical reason for needing the tint it may not be illegal.

the thing I dont like about doing the entire window is night driving, its one thing if you have difficulty seeing behind you but if you cant see in front of you oh sh!t

i believe illinois law is 35% all around, i got 35 in the front and 25 around the back with a 9" 5% strip on the windshield with a vinyl strip across the rear windshield to black out the dot matrix, along with blacked out tails

try 70% front sides in california, ugh! for years i've been thinking about getting tint but 70% just doesnt seem noticeably worth it and i live in a low crime area so the police around here have plenty of time to pull people over for that sorta thing.

also you cant get a doctors note for tint in this state but at the same time you CAN get a doctors note for cannabis. strange times we're living in

IMO the tint wouldn't really do its wanted function on Cali because in Cali, well atleast in south Cali, the hottest it gets is around 80-85 degrees and that is nice weather IMO. Especially with the 100+ degree weather we have here. Also the coldest it gets in the winter in southern Cali is around 50s which again is nice IMO.

Tint would really just be for looks there because 80-85 wouldn't be hot to me. Usually people want dark tint because they live in hot areas

Most people in Cali just put really dark tint on the rears and close to nothing on the front. Tint only in the rears on sedans looks weird though.

Legal limit here in fronts is 35% which isn't dark but isn't light either and you can have any darkness in the rears. I had 35% on my fronts and 15% on my rears in my previous car and it was nice but I don't know...I just wanted something a little darker. I plan on getting 20% for my fronts and 15% in the rears, I like going gradually darker when going to the back of the car instead of having 20% all around.

Since the GA has factory 70% tint on it, 20% I think will come out to be 14%-15% and 15% will probably come out to be 9%-10%. Which begs the question that I could just get 35% tint and it'll probably be a good enough darkness but even so I will technically still be illegal since it'll come out to be 29%-30%

the actual temp it's not the important factor it's the sunlight on the windows tint will help keep the dash from cracking and keep the interior from being a greenhouse.helps keep the interior from fading
