agreed. youd be better off picking up the cheap CAI from ebay dude. its cheaper than a K&N.

i noticed very few mpg's out of mine from ebay. i do avg 19 per tank which isnt horrible but it isnt exactly good when i have a V8 with 4.10's getting 23 per tank on avg. idk, my GA has always been a mystery machine from the day i got it

Hey guys, my friend who is a mechanic apprentice, has schooling. He said that I need to reset the computer to learn how to use the new airflow, hes not known the be the brightest, but is he onto something? Am I missing a step on installation? If so how do I accomplish this? Still gunna buy a new filter :b

no. sorry but he is wrong, you def dont need to reset the CPU for a cold air intake. just change the filter.

A CAI on a stock LA1 doesn't need a tune. Your friend should stick to learning before handing out advice.

Yeah, there is nothing to "reset" in the PCM that has anything to do with airflow. As long you have a properly functioning MAF sensor (and don't screw it up by messing with it) it will read any changes in air flow from the CAI and adjust fuel accordingly. No reset or learning needed.
