I wouldn't really call it a fad. Just that it was intended for track/race cars, so if you're car never sees track time then it's nothing more than a pointless appearance mod.

That looks sweet! If I keep my car long enough, and I could find a cheap way to do it, I'd be tempted to try a manual swap myself. Not sure how much more time/money I want to put into this car though, and I have no place to work on it right now.

I would consider the most "ugliest" fad to stick is the "HellaFlush/Stance/Wrekfest" crap.

But ya know. I'm just another "hater" in their state of mind.

^One of the few cars I've seen that can pull off aftermarket LED strips off nicely without being obnoxious.

I might just be old, but I have no clue what that is.

that 6 speed LA1 car is pretty cool. At this point I tend to respect performance and reliability more than appearance stuff like LEDs and vinyl stickers.

Google it. Be warned, you may start throwing things out of the sheer idiocy, lack of common sense and blatant disregard for safety.

thanks! reason for em is because the mounting for the fog lights on the car on the dirver side is kinda stripped out... (not my fault) and i hit a raccoon and broke the mount for the foglight... so instead of getting new fog light (which GM wanted 109$ for) and didnt care to order a fog light off the interwebz i just went to auto zone and got these white 8 inch LED strips to replace the fogs... cut the foglight plug off, and connected the leds to the fog wires so they work with the stock fog light switch. i think they look awesome.

thanks dave, its very, very fun to drive. especially because its 2/2 in the world. (atleast that i know of) i really doubt anyone else out there other then mfuller has this swap in their car. and it works as if the car was made from factory. push in clutch to start, reverse lights come on when put in reverse, its just a very mint install.

also, i like my fender stripes. imo it looks pretty good. but to each his own.... im the only alero on aleromod who has them. i saw them used on ga's here and i wondered what it would look like on an alero, so i got them in the color theme im going with... and put em on, i like it.

(the calipers are light blue but dirty right now, and need repainted. but its pops pretty nice with the 18s on, only have winter tires on cause i need an alignment first since the swap has been done)

Hey if the fender stripes are your thing then to each their own. I wouldnt do it, and I havnt done it, but I understand doing stuff to make your car stand out.

Might I encourage you to reconsider. Those wheels are very played out and I don't think they look good at all. And for the love of all that is holy, I think you have more wheel gap than my friends Dodge 3500.....

Wheels and a drop, but yes other than that the exterior look good.
