I have the Flowmaster 80 muffler setup with 2.25" piping (stock) and i love it. Havent heard the borla or pacesetter in rl, but i havent heard a better sounding grand am around here Nice and deep, would like it louder, but it is a v6 after all. Any louder and u get rasp. And depending on what you want from the car, the exhaust is nice and low at idle and only gets louder when u step on it so its not like ur driving ur kids around in straight piped v8

Only get compliments from people, even tho most of my buddies have v8 mustangs or t/a's

You haven't heard mine. I run a Flowmaster 80, w/2.25" piping, but I have an 18" glasspack in place of the stock resonator. It gives the deepest exhaust note, and 100% no rasp. My dyno vid is floating around on the forums somewhere.

Well...I got hit at work by someone trying to park. He ended up bending my rear bumper in, put a scratch down the quarter and scuffed up the plastic trim infront of the rear wheel. So...I was thinking if I can either locate a rear bumper or straighten the current one, I may take the insurance money and buy the Ram Air hood instead since I was planning a full repaint come spring. Let's hope the body shops give high estimates!

Here is what I need as far as the interior goes...

A new dash or figure out a way to fix this...

And then the piece that goes here...

Should be ok after that, that and a good cleaning! The people who owned this car were slobs!!!

Thats where defrost vent would go on the dash board near the windshield. Just buy a new one and it snaps right in. Problem solved.

wont go in because the dash end is lifted too much, the clips just pop out when you snap the cover on

Just ordered a few things. Bought a factory Ram Air hood and a GT stainless insert kit so hopefully the two will look nice on the car. Still waiting on the insurance company. If they quote it high at the body shop, I may take the money and fix it myself along with painting the rest of the car. Cross my fingers!

I received the grill inserts. I'm thinking of blacking them out along with buying a black sct spoiler. Wonder how this would look ESP if I black out the scoop area of the ram air hood. Then follow up with tinted tails and black housing/clear corner headlights.

Sounds good in my head anyways...

I really hope your not planning on keeping the spoiler black, that'll look kinda retarded. But I agree with painting the grill inserts black.

My reasoning is I had a green GTO with similar paint with the judge spoiler blacked out along w the hood scoops, granted it was a 69 and not a 72 but I think it would look cool to the GTO guys.

May of looked cool on a 69 model year but on a 2001 it'll look dumb IMO.

Pacesetter has to much high RPM rasp. Also isn't Pacesetter real shtty quality compared to Borla?

This is definitely a set of opinions here , I think Borla sounds the best :X

The borla is better but its the stock diameter piping that is the only negative to the system... I currently have the pacesetter and I could recommend it, it sounds only a tad louder than stock... I dont run my car in super high rpm's all the time so thats not a problem for me. Ive had my system for 3 years now no rust what so ever... only a tad of rust on the brackets.

Isn't Pacesetter the stock diameter too? Or even a little smaller?
