Having the scoops open does do one thing, it keeps the supercharger cooler!

Hey my name is erick and i wanna thank StrictlyHIDs for the Sc/t Ram Air Hood it arrived yesterday and i put it on just to see how it would look.. here are some pictures and i kno i still need to line it up n lower it down but ill do that later since i have a few things to work on the hood separately, i want to make functional and open up the scoops a bit more, at the end i was thinking about putting some RED LED BARS behind the grills, and paint it of course...but here is a quick look of how it looks so far..Once again thanks StrictlyHIDs for the sale! They carry mostly everything for the Grand AM!

I hope thats what it looks like when its NOT latched down. If its latched down and that huge gap is there I would immediately take it off.

I still think it looks stupid with the small hood scoops...

Red wipers /facepalm

The hood isn't fully latched in that pic, right? If not then there might be a bit of an issue with fitment there!

I will have some pictures Monday and some painted pictures the following Monday as the whole car is getting repainted. Also scoops will be opened up. I worked at a body shop so I will have the hood set correct as most of the time with fiberglass hoods you have to adjust the fenders and bumper gap.

The scoop openings are common "extra" material used to brace the scoops for shipping. Most hoods have these to sturdy up the fiberglass in weaker areas and need trimmed down before paint. It appears this is the case here.

Regardless the outcome, pictures will be up Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
