Your car is already looking ricey as FOCK! Get rid of those ****ty fender vents... and put your stock hood back on until you get the new one painted... if you really are gonna have that hood painted, have them paint your mirrors while your at it. Students really insult these cars, its a shame... these cars really don't need much to spice them up, and fender vents are not the right ingredient!

![]() Idiots like you are why I can't stand owning a Grand Am anymore. You have no fucking clue what you're doing, you can't even line up a hood properly, or even have a clue on how to adjust it correctly. On top of that, you have these hideous ghetto fabulous made in China wheels, red ricer special wipers, Vatozone portholes, chinsy ass projectors, unpainted hood... GOD DAMMIT. You're on a public forum. If your vag gets in a twist, then don't post and ask for opinions. We aren't going to pat you on the head, tell you "good job!" and give you a fucking gold star. Screw that noise. If you don't know what the hell you're doing, drop it off at a body shop, and don't half ass it. Sweet fucking Odin...

Aftermarket SC/T Hood: -Not OEM -Hood scoops are smaller -Has chances of not fitting flush like OEM. OEM SC/T hood: -OEM! -Bigger, better looking scoops IMO -Fits perfectly since its OEM With patience you can find an SC/T hood for sale sooner or later. I found a 2 YEAR old thread where a guy in Illinois was selling a SC/T spoiler and SC/T hood OEM and it still wasn't sold. I just stumbled across it and the price was already lowered more then half and thats when me and the guy made a quick deal and I went the 2 and a half hour drive to pick it up that night. $125 for the hood $25 for the spoiler

I know it's not oem but just to see how close the quality is.
So far (granted I need to try tweaking things here and there) but this hood fits like **** out of the box. It's low on one side and way high on the drivers side almost to the point if a heavy wind came along and got under the opening, it would tear the bolts out from their fiberglassed in mounting nuts. I may run pins or something just because the mounting nuts are held in by nothing more than fiberglass. Another option would to make a backing plate to act as a support. Other than the fit quality and the mounting system, seems like a decent hood. Defiantly no bolt on and go but with some work, I don't think it's gonna be too bad. I've seen a lot worse with fiberglass parts. The hood buldges don't seem as tall as oem but unless you want a 100% factory look, the normal person wouldn't know the difference. I'm going to try shimming a few things and see if I can get the front bumper/fender/hood gap better. Will have pics tomorrow evening

Not trying to bring any bullsht to your thread but does this mean 99ga was lying about his front bumper being broken?
He said the reason his gap was uneven between the bumper and hood was because something in his bumper was broken from a crash. Yet your gap looks the same since its uneven in the same way.

I'll let you draw your own conclusions but looks like the same issue he has with his hood, I have with mine as well. My cars lights are not broken (although look horrible) there is still the same gap.
I'm going to try and lower the hood latch "catcher" and see if that solves anything. If not, going to have to shim the bumper and fender
