I know you dont want black again, but this isnt far from you and is a reasonably good deal for the miles. I'm sure you could talk him down some as well.

Trust me, I literally detail little areas of the Grand Am everyday instead of having to do it all at once... Every night I throw a $300 car cover over top of it to keep the dust off, FYI. This cover is not supposed to scratch your finish! Turns out it does... its quite annoying when you go to remove the cover you notice all of the micro scratching has returned leaving you in the same spot you were in before the buffing! And I hope you dont have any dogs... We have a giant ass lab, whenever someone comes in the garage it goes crazy and runs around my car smacking its tail into everything! Pisses me OFF!

Worse looks? I know the motor, but aside of that, there were black accent tails, and a different hood.. that's all I know of, what else is there? I'm FAR too lazy to look this up on my own

Its basically the hood, wheels, tails are slightly redesigned, and the rear bumper is designed different too. Instead of just looking it up, just compare the pics from the blue one im looking at to the one in this link http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...26544030&Log=0

That color of blue is IBM, or impulse blue metallic, and was available all 3 years. If they called you, then there is more wiggle room on the price. If they dropped it 1500 bucks, offer them another 1500 even less. They'll say no and you just walk out and wait for the phone call to come. And if they never call back and take your offer, wait till an LS2 becomes available. It doesn't hurt to wait, and it's not like these cars are getting more expensive as time goes by.

I would be happy to pay 12.5 that would be my best offer... If I may ask a quick question about loans and dealer relations? I wouldn't really know because I bought the grand am with cash and I was able to talk them down from 7400 to 5400 out the door taxes and tags, are dealers more likely to negotiate prices more based on if im paying 100% cash? Or does it mean that since im doing partial loan they are gonna be more than likely not to work with me on a lower price?

It depends. Sometimes they are willing to take a small hit on price because they are making money off the financing (usually on new cars). Other situations (like used cars) if you walk in with cash you are a sure sale, so they will move a little more on price.

if you have the cash, that is always preferred. Im buying my next fun car with cash. Im not buying it until I have all of the money ready to go.

Truth from caraudiodave I asked a lot if they'd take 2500 less in cash for an older GA on their lot over the summer, and they jumped at it. ended up with that jimmy, but still, if it's something that has sat, and you have cash, you can be their best friend.

also, the nada.org site has max trade in value on there, so you should have a good idea of what they paid for it when they took it
