If I where to go though I'd go up to chicago to meet some friends of mine after all this is over. Or I'd do that before since it'd be pointless to drive more north and further away from MO.

That's a J-body. Power to weight plays a big role, as well as less electronics.

^As well as transmission (ie manual vs automatic). You can't really compare them. Put an NA 3500 in a grand am, run it at the track, then lets talk about times.

Not really knowing the full potential of N/A 3x00 really makes me want to do it but I cant justify the cost when you can put a turbo on and go faster for roughly the same cost.

I've noticed people suck at making n-bodies fast in general.

I miss the Schweppe and Spy days, sort of.

My Grand AM is N/A and I have no plans for a turbo build since I know **** about them really. I don't know that I would build up the bottom end but as far as the top end goes all I really need still is a good cam and tune. I'd like to do a manual swap if possible to squeeze out more whp but it may be to pricey and time consuming since this is my daily driver. Aside from my tune being not really feeling up to par and missing a performance cam I'm fairly pleased with mine.

GTFO

I'd rather build and boost the ecotec... I know the 2.0 version isn't that different than the 2.2 (I know it is reinforced and built for boost), and Saab people make big power on it.
