My comment mostly came from your pic earlier of the GTO used for the color choice, since you also talked about keeping the spoiler black (ala GTO) was thinking it might look good to find some wheels that are similar to the GTO's. Not the same, just something that kept the theme going

Some more pics as she is getting put back together...

This was taken last night right before dark so not the best picture but gives you a good shot of the hood. I recieved a new header panel in the mail so I need to pull the front bumper back off and intall it. That should fix the gap on the drivers side.

I bought new taillights as well that Im going to install. I may tint them slightly as well as the brake light. IDK...still in the air about that...

Installed the door handles back in...looking like a car again!!

Also whats everyones thoughts on the "Grand Am GT" and "Ram Air" emblems? Leave them off or install them? Only thing if I install them, the tips of the letters are body color so would be kinda tricky to paint them. I like the "Ram Air" emblems

Or another thought is the GTO's with the Ram Air IV engines had a call out decal on the side of the hood scoop rise. I was thinking buying these in black, cutting a line between the "IV" and reversing it for "Ram Air VI" since its a ram air 6 cylinder?

Another spot I need to turn my attention to is the exhaust tips...I think dual slant cut would look nice, anyone recommend some?

Another another idea too is my reverse lights are looking nasty. Can you pull these apart? I would like to clean them up and paint the chrome inside black to match the headlights I should be getting any day now.

I want a nice Grand Am but just want enough mods but not enough to look "overdone" if that makes sense.

Sorry to point it out but that hood fitment is still bothering me.

About the emblems. Im in a controversy myself about removing them. Yes it looks cleaner without but i feel i gives the car some contrast, especially since they are colored unlike ther badges on other cars that are a dull silver.

I wouldnt mind removing the "V6 ram air." I keep it for now because i think it sounds cool since im a child .

Also don't forget your reverse fog lights

These tips. They are the Borla tips

You should be able to open the rev lights housings and paint them....obviously this hinders the functionality of them but they'll look better. Maybe throwLED's in there?

Just keep the car debadged minus you gotta put the front arrowhead back on. If you really want put the GT back on the trunk or get a G6 arrow head and center that on the back. Although I kinda like your ram air VI idea but do it right

Another tip idea would be to do something like this

I think it would be cool to fill out that area better with those. Although the SC/T kit would help alot with that. By filling it out I mean like this and maybe even these tips..

Leave the car completely debadged. Badges are stupid.

No badges.

As for tips, I'm partial to the SLP tips... but I think Rand had a nice setup with the ones off a GMC Denali.

Right around 500-600. I had some materials and some stuff I had to buy. But thats paint cost, replaced hood, bumper, front and rear lights and have a SC/T spoiler on its way.

The hood gap is due to a broken header panel. I would have replaced it but the new one arrived the other day so I just need to pull the bumper off and replace it. Gives me a chance to install the grill inserts which I base/cleared last night black and install the new headlights. Will tackle that this weekend.

My backyard in 50 degree weather with wind blowing given the circumstances, just a few spots of dust in the paint. Took it to my friends detail shop and I did a quick wet sand and buff.

I never would have guessed that that is a backyard paint job. Well done sir.

Leave the car debadged and I think tinted tails would look good with that color as well.

I'm partial to SLP tips as well.

Awhile back I picked up some hood/grill/bumper stainless inserts. Had some time yesterday after work and primed the inserts then sprayed them with some base/clear gloss black. Turned out great!

Two for the hood, two for the upper grill, two for the lower grill, plus the back bumper...
