No lie! I remembered seeing something on some discovery channel show about freak of nature stuff, and fog was one, and there was a giant wreck somewhere like that in california iirc, apparently it happens more than I realized

That is crazy!
Once again, no fog.. I'm starting to think this was a pointless mod..

I personally think its pointless but thats just me. We're in Missouri, so that means we RARELY get dense fog days or fog days in general, snow is another story though so it'll help there, if we get a blizzard.

Yeah I understand, but I think it could help in the snow and heavy rain at night, which we do get a bit of. And i guess it's not really hurting anything if it's there and doesn't get used. Lol

I just cut the positive to each reverse light in the bumper and wired it into a 4-pin relay powered by the cig lighter. I can draw a rough diagram up on Thursday if you want.

In case you can't read it,
for the relay: pin 30 - 12v+ of cigarette lighter pin 85 - 12v+ of cigarette lighter, interrupted by the switch pin 86 - ground pin 87 - positive of each rear light *note: this will also allow the lights to be on at anytime, whether the vehicle is on or off, as the cigarette lighter is direct power.

Okay, a few of you were asking for pics of my headlights, so here you go.
I still haven't gotten around to taking them apart to clean them out, so you'll be able to see that a little in a couple of these. And the pictures are grainy.. Not sure what's up with that, but oh well.

I would of painted the shroud body color to flow a little better. With it black it makes the main beam parabola look black then you see the rest of the light and its all chrome, looks funny but nonetheless nice job and still looks nice regardless.
You using 5k bulbs? BTW I ask many people this but just in-case its before I plan on "constructing" a retrofit but if you ever sell your GA or part it out, put me first in line for the retrofit please , wouldn't mind picking it up since you're in Missouri also, 3 hour drive is worth a retrofit.

Yeah I would still like to do something differently with it, but at the time I had a few other black things on the car, so it worked out a little better. I would actually like to paint it all body color except, of course the main turn signal reflector for obvious reasons, and I also actually want to keep the amber reflector on the outside too.
But yes I'll keep you in mind if anything ever happens and I am able to part ways with the headlights. Lol And no, my camera color is a little off, they're actually 4300k, it's jut hard to tell from these pics.

I hate to bring up an old thread, however I was wondering if anyone can tell me which wire that comes out of the back of the HVAC is the positive for the rear defroster? I will be requiring my rear fogs to this switch, and would like to know where to tap into please!
Thanks in advance!

Um, what???
I think what you're doing is making the rear fogs light when you have the rear defrost on, right? (Been way too busy, my brain is fried man sorry for not catching this correctly if that is wrong)

Correct idea, but since one of the tabs broke completely off the glass itself, there's no saving it, so it doesn't actually work. But yes, correct

You can glue them back on, tube of the stuff is about 8 bucks, it's a metallic glue basically.
But you actually said what I was thinking, I myself would look into tapping in back there at the window (where the wires come up under the back dash anyway) down to the lights, as far as I know those are just a solid 12v and should be able to power those to small bulbs no problem. Going in back there would really shorten your wire run also, and you could find a way to route the wires down behind the taillight assembly, so you shouldn't have to puncture a hole in the trunk.
