Right now I don't know about the needle color, going to roam around the hobby store tomorrow, and find a nice fluorescent color to paint on the back.

okay,

anything else I'm forgetting?

I think we've about covered this to death now, so *maybe* we'll help someone down the line

Which I myself have just learned a ton, but there was some I asked just to cover what I've seen elsewhere.

TruGreen and Kzulfic both get their "gooderest teecher of the day" awards

Yay, my good deed for the week is done. I can rest easy now.

I think that about covers it, besides what TruGreen just said about rotating the bulb.

EDIT: yes, they work with the dimmer.

I think theres some helpful info here..

And I am in 150% agreeance Jim, for no more work than it is to do the blackcat overlay, there really isn't any reason to go about sanding and all the led work.

I learned my thing for the week, so I can tune out for the next 6 days or so

Also, the BCC overlays are really reasonably priced.

Yea, time not taken into account, if you bought leds for everything in there to change, you'd spend a good chunk of change, when in theory you can simply change your overlay and make a giant difference in what you're looking at every day.

Some bang for a buck (just like my mom )

For a little over a hundred bucks, them overlays relieve a lot of frustration. So you think they're worth it I assume?

Lighting wasn't that expensive actually. 44.82 for 20" of LED weatherproof flex strip, 4 #194 LED bulbs(green), 4 T10 twist lock bases, 1 #74(blue), 1 #74(green), and 1 #74(red). That includes shipping.

how much frustration did they give you changing them? some of us don't care, it becomes a matter of "winning" so to speak, then there are some who just want the results without having to do much

Haven't changed them yet. Should be doing it tomorrow. I have spare cluster though once you have the overlay out its all plug and play from there.

Here's what everything looks like. Everything is either twist out, twist in, or pull out, push in. Not a hassle atall.
