Some of the confusion on these cars is the "digital signal" issue that GM started somewhere around this time. Like when you change the radio, you have to run your 12+ to a key hot somewhere else, as the stock radio uses 1 wire for both. ( it's been a long time since I read up on this, I think I'm right, but I am high on actifed..dammed sinuses)

Its this sort of things that made these cars a little, unique for some mods.

I'm not sure this was also the case with my 6kemotions halogens one looked dim and other didn't. It seems like the focus energy just get moved to one side. Almost looks like lights are alternating. When switched

One thing to say about 15k HID's

4300K is basically pure white
5k is tinged blue but still very white
6k is definite blue
8k darker blue fading to violet
10k is violet
12k and up has very violet and little usable light output.

There are many different opinions on what K is what color.

IMO 5k is pure white. To some people it probably has a hint of blue but if it does its VERY VERY VERY small. 4300k is a paleish-yellowish white. Some companies even claim 6k is pure white lmao. 6k has a hint of blue, 8k is light blue, 10k and 12k is very very blue, almost violet.

The output color is sometimes very different from the color when actually looking at the light itself. There are SO MANY different HID color charts out there, some claim 30k is purple, not 12k.

This IMO is the closest representation of the actual colors, 10k and 12k I think should be a more bolder blue rather then the aqua blue that they appear in this picture:

Do you have a picture? I haven't seen anything over 10k that doesn't look blue/purple.

If your 12Ks don't look purple, then they aren't 12Ks. It's that simple.

6K is the max anyone should go anyway. I miss mine.

They are Fabs. I knew I'd catch **** for it, but I was just pointing out that there is no way in hell that 12k is still whitish. When my 6k has a tint of blue to it. This angle seemed to have brought out the most blue in it honestly.

That picture was shortly after I got them installed so that could be why.

Mine never looked blue like that, even when they were fairly new.

yes yes i know ive got my fair share of **** for my kelvin temp..but on this ^^ chart my 15k's match right up to the photo posted i just orderd 2 set of bulbs one set is 5k the other is 6k. ..i was looking for optimal ligthing and as everyone stated 15k doesnt do **** but make everything blue... Not to jack this thread but i dont see the need to make another. Does anyone know, a good place to purchase Xenon halogen bulbs. Besides walmart or autozone who want ridiculous prices for a set of 4300k. i dicovered a site called www.coolbulbs.com but they really dont have a decent selection as far as kelvin temp ...Anyone Lookin for Hid Bulbs they have them to dont know how great the quality or durability is just thought id throw it out there...i would just like to have a nice halogen setup until i get my retros the way i like or save up for actual projector head lights
