New car, i know its not a GM

So for those following my thread in the other section youd already know, but its buried 3 pages in so I thought Id announce it here.

I got a 2013 VW CC R-line in candy white. Its the second 2013 CC R-line sold in so cal, as this trim just arrived...its strange, the 2013 CC was in dealers a year ago, but it took them this long to release the "performance" model.

Since this isnt a VW site I wont assume anyone knows the difference of the R-line. It is only available on the 2.0T, not the Vr6. It adds paddle shifters to the DSG tranny, the R-line body kit, the lighting package (think Audi LEDs in headlights), different wheels, and a few other small upgrades that escape me.

I added the Nav on as well. Its a nice sporty sedan. Not a race car, but its decent power, especially considering its only rated at 200hp. it has dual mode HIDs with projectors, leatherette (feels nicer than GM leather), dual climate controls, both front power seats w/lumbar controls, and rain sensing wipers.

The car handles greats, accelerates smooth and quick, and is super quiet inside. The only changes planned for now are tint, a downpipe, tune, exhaust, and stereo upgrade.

Better pics from my dSLP coming soon.

I like how VW is making headlights now a' days. With a "eye lid" above the projector. Looks nice, I love the headlights.

BTW is that an LED high beam?

This. It wouldn't have been my choice either, but it's not bad. I like some things about German cars, but some things are really annoying, and I think they are overpriced. But anyway, Volkswagen has made a lot of improvements in recent years, so it should be a good car. Supposedly they aren't plagued by the electrical problems they were notorious for a decade ago. Hopefully that stays true.

I will say though, I would like all the equipment that came with except the rain sensing wipers. I HATE when they put that crap on cars! It's annoying as hell. I don't want a car to turn anything on until I decide it needs to be. Hopefully there is a way to shut them off?

Different. Glad you like it. That is what matters. Not really a modder type car. I would just leave it alone and enjoy the warranty. VW likes to tell people the aftermarket stereo put in their car caused an ecm surge that blew the motor. Just know, VW tries that type of sh!t with all the owners. Just a heads up. Most people talk about it on the forums. Decent car, ok power. Just drive it and enjoy it.

I think they can be shut off. I havnt played with it yet. The warranty is a must, i dont trust VW enough to get it with the basic warranty.

There is actually a huge aftermarket for this motor. im not into modding this, if i wanted a race car/show car, i would have bought a muscle car (still might). I needed a reliable commuter/family (in a pinch)/sporty sedan.

Ok, so I finally got around to taking better pics of the car. I really like the lighting of the car.

I know, its still stock for now. I want to drive it more to decide on what the car needs. Stereo will need work for sure.

I didnt realize what they light pattern was until I took these pics. I havnt seen any 2013 CCs in my area at night I guess. The headlights take some getting used to. I really like them but its strange to have them turn when I go around turns. Seeing them correct to straight can be distracting.

I really dont think that would be on top of my mods list. Im looking at lowering springs (but not too low), exhaust, intake, tune, system... maybe r32 brakes and r-line steering wheel. I find it strange, I have their top of the line sedan, in the R-line trim, but it doesnt come with the flat bottom steering wheel that R-lines come with oversees.

heres what I want. Look at the top of this thread to see what my stock one looks like:

Oh yes, that wheel is much better.

I was suggesting the grill only because the upper grill has a lot of chrome and none in the bottom ones.

Something like this:
