If you look back to page 2, when all the flamers went silent, it was because somebody asked me to prove something and, to everyone's surprise, I did. It's next to impossible to produce, on demand, a good fuel spark table to a car that you don't own and are unable to tune. That's proof enough. Taking more pictures, I feel, will be counter productive in the long run. My posts alone should convince you that I have some degree of automotive competence and that I am versed in physics. I don't need to post my BASc. for you to know that.

heres the kicker.

he can figure out how to run/hook up a "working" nitrous kit.....but yet lacks the knowledge/means to hook up a sinmple electric supercherger/turbo

DA FOCK!!!

The only way they would be counter productive is if you're lying.

You know how easily that is to get over the internet? That table doesn't prove shit. You won't show pictures because you don't own a Grand Am or even have one with a nitrous kit.

Show a picture of the car and the nitrous setup with a paper in each photo showing your screen name and date or nothing you say is valid.

If that's too hard for your pea sized brain to grasp and comprehend, then GTFO.

You idiot, you can't just pull bin files for any car. You have to belong to internal forums or be given them specifically. I've got about 50 bin files, the makes and models of which I could list here and provide tables to. You want me to do that if it'll shut you up?

How about pictures of your nitrous setup and proof of employment by GM?

And you tune your car, do you not? I've never been able to find a bin file except in the specific repo where I got my tuner from. I had to provide my VIN to gain and tuner s/n to gain access.

Same. So we're in the same boat. I mirrored the entire bin directory to my hdd in case 60v6 dies

Ok. Here's something to chew on for a while.

Boundary conditions:

The system is assumed closed and isentropic.
All processes are assumed adiabatic.
The compressor is assumed to have an efficiency of 0.75 based on the pressure ratio (conservative).
Inlet temperature is assumed 300K and pressure is 101300 kPa
Outlet pressure will be assumed 135700 kPa (+5psi), temperature is to be solved
The approximate mass flow rate is constant thru the system at 211.9 g/s
Brushless motor efficiency will be assumed to be 0.9

Calculation:

From ideal gas table for air at 300K, the enthalpy is h=300.19 kJ/kg and the pressure ratio value is Pr1=1.3860.

Pr2 = Pr1(P2/P1)
Pr2 = 1.3860(135700/101300)
Pr2 = 1.8567

Going back to ideal gas tables and looking for this Pr value we find the outlet enthalpy, h2s = 326 kJ/kg.

With a compressor efficiency of 0.75, the adjusted enthalpy at the outlet is:

nc = (h2s-h1)/(h2a-h1)
h2a = 334.6 kJ/kg

Looking up this value in the gas tables for air we get T2 = 334.3 K, which is the outlet temperature

As a closed system, Ein = Eout

mdot x h1 + W = mdot x h2

where W is compressor work and mdot is the mass flow rate

(211.9)(300.19) + W = (211.9)(334.6)

W = 7291.48 J or that many watts if we're talking electrical power.

************************************************** **

Accounting for motor efficiency

7291.48/0.9 = 8101.64 W is the required electrical power and motor rating

@48V, current requirements are P=VI so, 8101.64/48 = 168.78 amps, which any lead acid can handle so we're ok there.

So this analysis covers both designs. Where the ******** divides the page, you have the mechanical requirements and subsequent electrical requirements.

Does your neighbor know you're taking pictures of his car? For shame.

Sorry, that's all you get. I don't owe anyone anything. I was nice enough to prove I'm a tuner, to prove I own the car, to prove that I know how to do a thermodynamic calculation that's totally correct (check it) and that I have an interest in this topic and am not trolling. If you can't take the rest on faith, that's your deficit.

Hey, it's not our credibility that could be improved by proving you're not lying.

Up to you.

So far I haven't asked 1 person here to prove anything to me about who they are. I don't know any of you in the same way you don't know me. I just don't demand proof of such things most of the time.

How about that calculation btw?

We all know each other on here, we've posted our cars many times as well as our projects. You're the unknown factor here, for your outlandish claims with no credible proof, you expect us to believe you?
