X2. I will be on the search for a 07 Aero Sedan or 08+ Aero wagon within the next two years. I feel that the 08 Sportcombi just flows better than the older bodystyle. 07 had a nicer sedan Aero IMO. In 08 the Aero lost some of its sportiness.

I do like the 08+ wagons... but the 08+'s always look goofy with anything less than 18's.

One of the few cars I like in red:

WRX from dealership, not used is a nice bargain compared to other "performance" cars out there that you could buy.

But I agree they're abused but you gotta love the purr that the boxer gives

Looks desperate to sell, try and get a deal.

There's a guy on another board I'm on that hunts for LSX's for sale and lowballs the ones that seem desperate... dude now has picked up 3 GTO's and at least 4-5 f-body's for several thousand less than they'd sell at auction. One GTO he picked up for something like $9k and it only had 60k miles on it

I've been talking to the guys wife, and they need something more economical and better for their family. The owner is a mechanic, so I'm assuming the car is in good hands. She said its his baby and has spent more time cleaning the car than taking care of their home .

Apparently the car was at his work for a week or so getting a repair, she wasn't sure what it was though. So that's the number one thing i am curious about at the moment.

I'm hoping they are desperate to sell, See if I can't talk them down to 7500 or lower. Maybe even trade my car plus cash for his. I'll know more this evening and I'll have more pictures to show.

Week or so? Would almost have to be bodywork, right? Most parts for those are pretty easy to come by, I would imagine.

Well I'm not sure if he was waiting on parts, or just doing the work himself after hours. I'll get that clarified for sure. The only thing she told me is that he was fixing "some stuff". Knowing these cars, it might have been a leaking t-top or bad window motor.

Ahh, if it was his shop, that makes more sense.

Indeed sir. I've got a bunch of questions for him and have been on ls1tech for the past few days on what kinds of questions to ask about these cars. So I'm excited to see what he tells me. I would love to see this in my driveway.

Very nice.

Maybe you'll finally have a new thread then, instead of beating this dead horse of a thread for another 2.5 years?

Yeah no kidding. Even if I don't upgrade the car, at least it is something decent to look at.

but but... you cant fit your shogun wheels on a t/a!

but for 8k, yup i'd do it.

also, you could pay for it with those fake bills that you got for your old t/a
yeah, i'm never gonna let you live that down.

best of luck though

Haha I don't know what I'll do with those wheels. But the fake bills were for the talon, not the T/A. Yeah I deserve to have my balls busted for that, shame on me.

So i just got off the phone with the guy. He said that he replaced the water pump and radiator hoses. But the interior is in near perfect shape and the dash has no cracks. The car has never been in a serious accident, he said one of the bumpers was replaced by the previous owner and he isn't sure why. Car idles perfectly and shifts smoothly. Has some sort of short tube headers and magnaflow cats. No other mods.

Now for what the car needs. He will be replacing the idler pulley/tensioner tomorrow because the bearing went bad. So atleast that will be covered. The car will need the driver window motor replaced and the front tires need to be replaced. He also said that the car could use some new plugs and wires soon. Overall the car seems to be in good shape.

I'm going to take a look at the car tomorrow and I'll snag some pictures and try to get a video.

Any other thoughts come to mind? I'll be getting the vin tomorrow and running a carfax.
