Well it's been a long time but I just started getting back to work. I had to stop working on my car because I was finishing school and many other things. Milzy is working on building me custom mounts for my intercooler and send me some parts this week so I can get back to work. So the project is not dead just needed to take a break for a while. I will post pictures and do some posting as things move along.

Got my new Racetronix fuel pump and wiring harness today. Tomorrow I am get my tapped oil pan, modified valve covers, UIM, 5 port vacuum block, and my intercooler with custom made brackets for mounting. I will post pics of that stuff when I receive it.

Well got my stuff back from Milzy today. I know these parts aren't clean I just wanted to give you a idea of what's been going on. Hopefully here soon I can start digging back in and getting this project knocked out. Life for me is just always so busy all the time its hard getting the time in that I need. I'm really hoping to have this done in the next few months.

What's with the plug in the rear valve cover? And the -AN fitting on the front? You do know you need the PCV in there to control the flow rate right?

The PCV is being deleted and I am using a breather in place of the oil cap. We had to plug everything off so it doesn't act like a leak.

Bad idea IMO, but your choice.

I am going to install a catch can off of the valve cover. I can if need be attatch it to the rear valve cover too. Those plugs can be taken out if I ever need them to be.

Well a small update. We got a near 70 degree day today so I did some work on the car. I pulled the fuel tank and fuel pump to get ready for the upgrade to the Racetronix 255 F99 performance pump. I have to do a little work to get it installed but it will work out just right.

I got the fuel pump installed to the holder. I will you this was not straight forward as it looks. I had to use my dremel quite a bit to get this to fit into place. I just have to find a new venturi tube.

I would rather take insight from someone who actually knows vast knowledge about these cars compared to a person who pieced together a half assed turbo kit simply because he could... while probably spending a lot of other people's money in the process racking up charges on a credit card.

So you're saying Tehjohnson made a half ass turbo build? Everything was plug and play. I went though transmission issues and as far as i'm concerned I've only seen 2 people since actually finish the project since they said they we're going to turbo it since 08. I added a few things to it, aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, etc. Everyone runs into engine problems with these things, transmission issues, etc. ITS A GRAND AM not a stock turbo car. I've always kept my car clean, engine oil clean (every 3,500-5k miles) changed spark plugs also due to leaning car out as much as i could to make power.

And just so you know I didn't even know what a MAF was when I bought turbo kit. Between Todd and my Ex's dad, I learned everything I could've known about how things work, the entire function of each part in a motor as we took it a part from top to bottom.

Then you ought to know what the PCV system is for, and that there is nothing to be gained from deleting it.

The reason I deleted the PCV and will be adding a catch can is because of blow by. If I left the PCV in place while running boost I have a great chance of blow by and having oil push out of the dip stick. I can also set it up so my catch can vents off.

I don't think anyone said there is a gain. If it is properly vented then I don't think there is much of a problem. I don't know how many times I've seen boosted cars pop the dipstick out if the PCV system hasn't been looked after.

Running a catch can is much better than just breathers, you must admit that.

I've actually seen people use Gatorade bottles as catch cans. Gotta love the city.
