Wheel locks are useless, most thieves have acquired a lot of wheel keys and if they want your wheels that badly, chances are they'll steal the whole damn car and make a bigger profit.

Yeah, I have 4 red McGuard spline drive lugs on each wheel and one chrome McGuard wheel lock. That was done on purpose back when the wheels were new. Probably not necessary now since they are beat up and dirty and not worth that much anymore. At the time though, I figured a little extra security couldn't hurt. I realize any determined thief could get around those, but I figure most aren't going to be walking around with sockets for two types of specialized lug nuts in their pockets. At the least, I don't want to make it any easier for them.
These are the ramps I have. http://www.amazon.com/Tomioka-Racing.../dp/B005D1JSM2 I originally bought them from the same place I got my tow hooks from (nukabe racing). Got four of them so I could get a jack under both ends of the car again. They work great, are fairly light, and fit easily in the trunk.

What a decent place that you all bought your rotors and/or calipers from? Online that is. I was looking at RotorsOnline since they're a vendor.
Planning on getting slotted 12" 00-05 Impala rotors front and rear, will do the fronts first and maybe rear later on and 98-02 firebird/camaro calipers. Like this guy: Quote:

so just how close are the CAMARO calipers to the stock 16'' Chometech's?
This close You can see just how little of the playing car is between the caliper and the wheel. ![]()

Random question that has probably been asked but blow me.
Any problems with putting '05 12" Impala rotors in the rear with firebird calipers?

If you want 12" rear brakes, look to the GP GXP rear setup. And plan on sourcing something else to replace your original spare tire (it won't fit anything but the factory brakes).

The "Chrometech" finish is actually a plastic cover glued to the wheel, which reduces the available clearance. Non-chrometechs don't have this problem.

you guys are smarter than me. I just want to make sure that these pads and rotors will work with the Camaro brake kit swap. I'm about 90% sure it will, but like I said you guys are smarter than I am.
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...669&cc=1379954 thanks guys

those "powerstop" drilled/slotted rotors are what i'm using. also, starglow is using them too. can't beat them for the price.
...just as long as they're the camaro/firebird/impala part number

so I just installed the powerstop kit I linked above and. . . . definite rubbing on my chrometechs somewhere. ran out of time tonight to tear it all apart again but I will tomorrow. I think it might be my wheel weights, but I'm not sure at this point. also I couldn't get one of the pads to fit without really rubbing on the side of the caliper. and by really rubbing I mean I couldn't even get the rim on all the way. I tried to grind the back of the pad down a little bit, but that didn't work either. so I just threw the old pad back in and went for a test drive.
ill know more tomorrow, ill try the old pads and new rotors and see what happens. if that doesn't work, ill try new pads old rotors. kinda stumped as to why I'm having issues. guess its just been my luck with the Camaro brakes . i'll get it figured out and let you guys know what happens.
