Yeah that's what I thought about doing, but not sure what kind of glue to use, and I don't want it to look like ****.

Haha that's what I'm concerned about, it turning out like ****. Then I"ll end up saying screw this leave the gap, and then with my luck my electronics back there will fry 500+ dollar system between two amps, two 12" subs, and 4 speakers ran to the amps.

i just used uhh.. **** what was it.... loctite! yeah used that on all 4, who cares if it looks a little bad behind the tail where you glued now one will see, as long as you get the rubber linedbup well it will look good, mine look great with the rubber glued on, could t even tell looking at it from the rear end.

on a side note, i need to update my sig because i dont have pacesetter catback anymore.

yeah I should attempt it and see how well it goes, hoepfully I'll have the patciene, but knowing myself things will go south fast

Dang.....so many posts in the wee hours of the morning. Don't you guys ever sleep during the night?

I'm glad to see the posts on this issue since I'm looking to get LED tail lights for the GA and never thought about the rubber trim being an issue until I saw this.

A little update for you that are wondering how the tails look.. after my dohhh moment yesterday .... You can't even see the gap unless your real close. I'm really happy with how they look, much better than the other TYC ones.

In the shade (garage) no lights on:

With the brake lights on in the shade:

LED reverse lights in the shade: (need LED's in the lower reverse lights)

Both brake and reverse lights on in the shade:

In the indirect sunlight:

In direct sunlight:
