You needed to put a resistor in the 3rd for the CC to work. And idk why yours was dim, you must of got a faulty item.

And yea if someone didn't want to put a resistor in then the Impala 3rd was another option so you wouldn't have to mess with anything but I like the aftermarket look the one now gives me, plus my CC works fine.

no the brake applied was bright. but when headlights were on the 3rd had a constant dim glow.
and you have stock GT tails so your CC will be fine. slap your LED tails back in and see

When I had my LED tails in I still had CC. Only "problem" was my ABS light was always on.

Also, i swear you must of got a faulty 3rd. Just went out and checked mine and my 3rd is as bright as it should be with the brakes applied and headlights on. Dunno if your eyes are just adjusting to your bright ass LED tails which make the 3rd look dim? I know when I looked at my LED tails my turn signals looked almost an amber color but that was because the LEDs where so bright and red.

meh $25 for Ebay LED plus $3 for resistors. or Impala LED board free from local JY....

i like Impala better

plus resistors heat up, so with long application of brakes may be bad for the plug there

My resistor on my 3rd has been on some double sided tape since I got the 3rd and all is well. O.o

Also, I doubt my local JY would give me a free Impala 3rd

wow dam just read your previos post tanner you are completely missing what I'm saying...

start car.
turn on headlights.
exit car and look at 3rd... dim constant glow
have other person depress brake pedal
light bright as Shit

at no time while pressing brake was the 3rd dim...

only while no brakes were applied

oh and impala free if you pocket it...

a nice night time pic with the LED's all lit up. The LED's were so bright I had to take the photo with flash on, cause the bright light from the tails was distorting the picture

EDIT: no brakes applied... obviously

Ok now I get what you're saying. Be more clear next time "but when headlights were on and no brakes where applied the 3rd had a constant dim glow."

Thats what you should of added to your sentence.

But yea, mine isn't constantly on when the headlights are on, works like normal.

I'll tell you what does do that though, my map and floor lights are very very very slightly on all the time, they're LED so it doesn't worry me at all much since its not using that much power but I'll notice when I wiggle the rear view mirror wire they'll turn completely off.

BTW Travis, ya they're bright as hell, I miss having mine because I feel I got payback at the faggots with lifted trucks and people who had their brights on behind me, blind em at stop lights

I'm glad I'm not the only person that tired of the idiots with their brights on. I wish my car has a better option for LED taillights the ones they have now I don't like them.

Wait a few months til I do my part out thread, got some custom LED taillights built by a member from florida, pyro, search around and you could find some pics of them. To me they are the nicest LED tails ever made for a Grand Am..and the Chicago crew can tell you how blinding they are at night,

Man... All that fuss about the gap and then not worried about it. Why not use some of the stick on felt material that you use for window insulation....

Just concerned about the electronics, then I realized the gap isn't even exposed to the trunk
