GI: LX9 Engine

As some people know I'm getting out of GM. Already got me a Subaru

I'm trying to sell the Grand Am but having a hard time because I'm asking a bit too much because of the engine work etc.

So I'm selling the LX9 and everything swap related.

Here are the details:

LX9 (forged crank) purchased as a 29,000mi shortblock from member 01GAGT
Every gasket is a new gasket with either GM or Fel-Pro parts and bolts.
Stock LX9 heads
MMS Ported LX9 upper and lower intakes
INTERNAL crank trigger (no external trigger, looks stock!)
LX9 TB adapter
MMS swap kit components (coil pack brackets, ECT and MAP extensions/adapters)
MMS powder coated timing cover (black)

I have put about 15,000mi on the engine since putting it in my GA. Oil changes every 3,000mi and well taken care of.

Seeing that the average going price for an LX9 keeps going up I'm going to try to make this a good price for everyone.

Alone everything here would cost well into the 1,700 dollar mark but I'm not here to make retail prices for used parts

Pricing for the engine is as follows

You get EVERYTHING in my engine bay minus transmission:
LX9 with EVERYTHING listed above

UPDATED PRICE!

$750 + S/H!

I'm pricing this stuff to move so I can get under way with selling the GA and swapping the Subaru.

All prices are OBO and require a $250 deposit from buyer so I don't pull the LX9 out for no reason. For PayPal add 3% to all prices.

I can have this thing out and shipped to you within the week if you are serious.

-Colin

Wow....drastic move, but not a bad deal on the LX9. So what does Mike think about you doing this? Are you pulling anything else off the body like headlights or taillights? If so I might be interested in them....looking for something better than stock.

Good luck with the sale...this would be ideal for someone local to you.

Have any other parts/mods that you will be parting? If so let me know. I'm interested in upgrading my car. It's a never ending process.

I might be selling some gauges and other misc. parts but most of everything done is under the hood.

I'm trying to sell everything as a package so mounts won't be sold separately until the engine is sold.

I will be returning PMs here shortly.

I forgot to add: The crankshaft was machined to accept a DR:TC so if any of you guys who got a good one are looking to do a boosted 3500 build...this could save you some money

What are the details for swapping this engine in place of the stock 3400? Is it "simply" bolt in...or is there electrical/PCM etc changes required?

I just did mine with HOYS help and it really wasn't that bad. You need to be decently mechanical if you're going to attempt it but with some instruction it can be done by someone that's still novice (like myself)

If you buy my engine it is simply bolt in. Doing a LX9 swap with a swap kit entails a bit more work but is still bolt in.

The engine I'll be providing in the sale would require you to swap over things from your existing 3400 like the Harmonic Balancer, Exhaust manifolds, starter, accessories, etc.

Engine is pending sale. MMS front trans mount is spoken for past that.

Will be for sale soon: TCE TB 65mm and the rest of the spare parts I have for cheap.

I'll post a different for sale thread for everything else.

Hah, well sale is still pending but I'm pretty sure she has a new owner.

TB is also pending to a local buyer.
