I played around with it in photoshop and it looked pretty good. Or just doing a light coat of black VHT over the whole taillight.

I like the SD hood except it caused problems with the belt/tensioner with the rain getting in the heat vent on the back of the hood. I cut a piece of plexiglass and siliconed up the hole and put some grille mesh over it to seal it up. Other than that I love the hood. It fits great and I like the look of it. I need to get it painted/repaired cause there's some chips along the driver side of it.
You saying that makes me not want to open my SC/T hood vents as I was considering it just for giggles.

This is a very old pic but how do these look stock on a GA? , I would think thats what you want. Nice "stock" looking LED tails that blend nicely so they do not look too gaudy/out of place. But yeah I think if you tint the brake light part on those red it would look nice. I would keep the signals amber.

Honestly though, what condition are those center caps in? I've been meaning to get those specific kind to see if they would fit on my wheels.

Three are pretty good. One is a bit sketchy. I will take some pics tomorrow.

The front scoops shouldn't be a problem to open. I have the front scoops open on my SD hood and I haven't had any issues with that. The only downside is that the engine bay will get dirty a lot quicker. The heat extractor on the SD is an issue because the hood slopes down into the vent. After I sealed it up, when it rains a nice pool of water collects at the vent. Luckily no birds have used it as a bird bath yet.

I wanted the taillights to look similar to the 08-09 Saab 9-3s because I always liked the look of them. However after I installed them I realized they were a bit too "altezza-y" The red ones do look nice I admit, but I also wanted the turn signals to be amber instead. I'll work on the tint soon and post a pic of the results.

I'd like to see how those tails would look 50/50 tinted with red. The black housing may throw off the look, I would have bought the chrome ones for a cleaner OEM look with the red tint.

I opened up the front on my scoops and didn't really care much for it. So I cleaned up the backing plates and repainted them and put them back on with the mesh I front of it. The only way I'd leave it open is if I were to put some led's under the hood so they could light them up

Back when I had my SD hood I had both of the rear heat extractors open (since I didn't use the air box). I made a couple of drains for the water out of aluminum C channel from home depot. Cut them to length and cut some tabs on the inside end that I could fold over and seal with silicone to keep from leaking. Glued them with silicone to the underside of the hood right on the bottom edge of the vents. That way any water that dripped in fell in the channel and ran off to the side. Worked quite well.

Yeah I repainted my grills and black plate a week after I got the hood, was really grey and not black. I just painted it all on while it was still on the car. That was a fun tape off job

Whos getting a stick up there ass o.o

If its a new member, go ahead and say it. In this case and most of the other cases it was a member whos been around here for a while. So you do not need to emphasize the fact on doing 50/50 contrast and every dam set of LED tails that pops up around here, not everyone is like you

I'm just giving you a hard time for the most part but its also been said too many damn times

2 days 7 hours and 43 minutes until the green flag at the 14hr of Sebring, but who's counting

I will be driving the 2-4hr mark, and again for the 10-12hr mark. Never been on the track for 2 solid hours, always have done 25-45min sprints.

Keywords, whenever a set of LED tails is posted about, its always "go 50/50"

Regardless if it is months apart, it is always whenever there is LED tails posted up.
