i'm with sam though. maybe a couple of minutes with the blade and then another couple with a cloth..once you get a bulk of the water off spray some QD on it and finish off with the cloth..cleaning the rest of the water off and QD'ing it at the same time.

Thats the only water it sees. With lots of suds. Lots. (Credit to metallman)

Yeah everyone has there own ways. Ill dry the car with a shammy, let it sit for awhile till window jams dry up so windows dont streak when rolling down, then hit the car with ultimate quick wax to shine her up.

Im not a fan of the quick detail. It seems to not like my black paint and just streaks, alot of effort taking all of it off.

the first week i had my black gto, i clayed it, and used mothers showtime quick detailer as the clay lube. the showtime by itself still left weird streaks that dried and showed up bad on the black paint, so i understand what you're saying.
the cheapo that i am tried to cut half showtime with half rubbing alcohol. that worked pretty good, evaporated really fast though, which is good for detailing, but bad for clay lube.
tried again with half distilled water. meh.

i'm in the blade as much as you can, then towel the rest category like tip and others

Dash started to rise up. Took off my center vent and I'm going to glue it back down. I need to stop this before it becomes a problem.

Gotta check out the liquid nail. Using the rubber hose between the windshield and the dash isn't working out too good. The left side keeps popping up.

i wonder what it'd look like if i yanked out the whole dash and made my own from fiberglass? the way they make custom sub enclosures, i could just make it to form 5 ac vents and the gauge pod's cleavage. couldn't look worse than my current warped dash
