I figured you would have DR tires by now.

That is never a sound to be expected from a sedan.

That popping is just annoying and ridiculous, I don't see how you would like that over time

Function > form

When you're making close to 400HP, you want maximum exhaust flow.

I have no problem with loud exhausts and powerful cars. The popping is just obnoxious and stupid. Nothing to do with Function over form, I can see what you're saying but overtime it will just get annoying and mentally exhausting(no pun intended) from driving the car with that kind of exhaust. Not to mention you're pretty much flipping cops off as you drive by them wanting them to suspect something of you.

I've heard plenty of much powerful cars that sound better without the popping.

The volume I'll take in this case. But in other cases like Sleepy's(not trying to pick you out but you're the only one I know with an obnoxious exhaust on a GA/alero), he has a old 3400 that has many miles on it with mild mods and no major mods yet his is loud as a train which to me doesn't fit at all and makes more noise then it goes(no offence sleepy )

But I guess its also different because sleepy doesn't DD his alero, I don't know if MAC DD's his GA or the G8.

Everything to do with function over form. It's straight piped, there's no muffler, resonator, nothing. Maximum exhaust flow is what he's after. Sound is secondary.

Do you even know what the "popping" noises are?

edited my post. If he wanted max exhaust flow with that sound might as well remove the exhaust entirely and have open heads but then again I don't know sht

The popping is the non-burnt fuel detonating inside the pipes after it comes out of the exhaust ports, I'm sure someone will correct me on that if its not entirely true. Don't see what that has anything to do with me not liking the pop or not.

If he made it into a straight race car and only took it to the track and never drove it on public roads frequently then I'd understand but Whatever, he likes it so thats all that matters I guess. Exhaust in general doesn't sound bad, the popping is just bleh.

let me be very clear. I did this for the NOISE . it still has the restrictive factory headers. the factory cats are gutted, but the flexi-flange where they connect is a restrictive 1.87" opening. also, it's "true duel" with no crossovers, x-pipes, or h-pipes. and i love it even more b/c of that! there is almost NO annoying DRONE around 2000 rpm, and pretty much everybody else has an x-pipe and also has hellish ear-killing drone at that rpm. my prior setup with a crossover was MUCH QUIETER, but had awful drone at 2000 rpm.
now i have earthquake-level drone around 1000rpm. doesn't bother my ears at all. seriously makes the whole car vibrate. RACECAR!!!!

this is totally my DD. i have electric cutouts, and when they're closed, the factory mufflers do an INCREDIBLE job of making it sound completely stock! (very quiet)
familycar/racecar depending on what mood i'm in.

Decided to put in a K&N airbox filter since my stock paper one was getting dirty and seeing as how I don't plan on getting the CAI for the GA. Don't want to risk water problems.

So this is 100bhp right?

Risk of water problems? Just don't drive through a foot of water.

Numerous people saying that they get water in the piping and engine starts to studder. MAC was one of these people.

Sometimes just from driving or sitting in the rain.
