ooo, me me me.
![]() Goodridge is a very well known brand that's been around a long time. They make lines for just about everything. I thought their lines used to be cheaper though, like maybe $120 or less? Must have gone up. They are the only ones I know of that makes lines for the GA though. I actually put goodridge lines on my grand prix when I re-did the brakes, even though is was just with stock rotors and some hawk performance ceramic pads. Makes a big difference in pedal feel and stopping power (no line expansion=more pressure on the piston). My GA actually doesn't have goodridge lines though, because both the SSBC and Baer brake kits I had on front came with their own front lines. I didn't want to pay full price for a set of four lines just to get the rears, when I wasn't going to use the front lines, so I called a place in California and had them make me a set of custom rear only lines for like $65 or something.

I have the Goodridge from PFYC, definate improvement over stock lines. Very positive and firm pedal feel. Just note they did not come with the correct banjo fittings,,,,several of us have had this issue,,,I just reused my originals.

thanks guys! after i put the braided lines on the g8, i couldn't believe how firm the pedal was. now when i drive the GA, it really does feel like i'm mashing it to the floor just to slow down
.thanks for letting me know goodridge is a good brand, and i'll be careful to keep the stock banjo

I have the Goodridge lines also but it takes a few weeks to get them after you place the order. I bought mine through Amazon for $118.
[IMG] [/IMG]Here's a photo of the bolt issue. The left bolt is the one sent from Goodridge with an incorrect thread pitch. The center bolt is the one I special ordered and the right side bolt is stock for the Camaro calipers. That bolt has the correct thread pitch but is too long to work with the Goodridge lines that have a thinner banjo so you need shorter bolts like the one in the center.. [IMG] [/IMG]As installed on my GA.... [IMG] [/IMG] |

Yeah, if it doesn't come with the correct banjo bolt, you should be able to just re-use your stock one. There is no issue with re-using those bolts. Just try to use new copper washers if you can, to make sure they don't leak.

If you do the big brake upgrade like I did, then the stock Camaro caliper banjo bolts are too long for the Goodridge lines as seen in my photo, so there's no way they would work in this case.

Bringing this back up. Was wondering anywhere else to get Stainless steel braided brake lines for the GAGT with rear discs. pfyc.com doesn't have the options with rear discs anymore.
Or on a different note how about these? http://www.stillen.com/product/brake...isc-38339.html

IIRC. Those are the same ones I have for the rear. Back when I bought my baer brake kit from mfuller. He included front ss lines. And also a set of brand new never used ss rear lines. Same brand as those. I still have them sitting in my tool box. And have yet to install them.

hmm I have front and rear SS lines on my SE. I did the rear-disc brake swap though so I have the setup you would need Tanner. Goodridge should still sell them so I would recommend trying to contact them directly if PFYC isn't showing them anymore.
