Cops in mn dont give a **** about stuff like that. I got pulled over at night and the cop didnt even say anything and i know he couldnt see through my tint. Had all my windows down he didnt ask to see them.

That, I think, is the main reason why GM chooses amber/red for interior gauges.

I also notice that there are coldspots/unevenness, you could remedy that with some foil tape for a more even distribution of light. Do you have any more pictures during the day?

Chris that's called obstruction of view, the same reason you can get pulled over for hanging things from your rear view mirror. A better placement will be on the dash. And I agree about the gaudy wheels.

I actually changed the LEDs to dimmer ones. Nothing is too bright except for the button to turn on my GPS that you see below my HVAC. The angle of the camera shows it strait on but I have it tucked in a ways so that it does not appear bright while sitting in the front seats. The camera makes them seem brighter. I do agree about the hot spots though. Do I put the tape right behind the hot spots then? I would like to fix that. I have tried many placement locations for my GPS and I really like where it is at. It is a lot cleaner and I don't have any visible wires in my car. The last location was right above my stereo on the left and I hid the cable through the radio bezel. Now that I got rid of the tape player and installed the new bezel it gave me a lot of room under there to work with. A quick glance down isn't any different than a quick glance to the side in my opinion and experience.

It is quite interesting that this is the first time people have called my wheels ugly and gaudy but I'm ready for a change any way. Besides they are ruined because of MN winters.

Fuzzy dice? Really? Ha-ha.

I haven't gotten picked on in MN about anything in the window but I have been "told" by cops that other cops might mind. Same with dangling crap on the rear view. I did however get pulled over for tint this summer. First time in ten fricken years for tint! No ticket though. Just the same old "other cops might ticket you speech".

It's like those HID kits, it's illegal to have/do, but everyone else thinks it's okay so you do it as well haha. Your wheels look fine, just not on this car anymore since you're changing it up. I bet you could even get some good money for them when it's time to sell.

I've had the same set of fuzzy dice in all my cars since I was 16. Geez, they're almost over ten years old now.

My little 10 yr old sister gave me some blue fuzzy dice that she won. I dont use them though. Stuff hanging in the mirror drives me crazy and is illegal.

You're old?! I'm one year behind you. Ha-ha. I will get some day pics but just to let everybody know in advance it does look more "shinny" in pics. It's actually pretty nice in person. My needles are clear. I might paint the backs of them blue if it will help make them light up better. Jim's needles seem to light better and his are painted.

Back when I had my single din radio the dash kit had a pocket. I wedged my gps mount in the pocket and put my gps there. It blocked my hvac controls but I never use them so didn't bother me...then I switched to a double din touchscreen with navigation built in

Only pic I have. You get the idea though

not terrible. someone who already owns the new stingray vette has already achieved a 9 second quarter mile with nitrous and little mods.

kinda funny, one guy got his new stingray in the 10's the previous week (basically a record set... for now) then a week after that. another guy with the stingray broke 9's haha.

I originally wanted to do a double din but having a 2000 it became out of the question unless I wanted to do a bunch of modding to the dash. I am very happy with my head unit though. It is the reason I went with blue lights in my interior. I wanted it all to match.

I used the touch up paint you find at pep boys or autozone... the small bottle with the pen tip the. unscrew the cap and there a brush.
