so came across a small problem today while showing my cousin the headlights.
you can't see the amber LED 3157 worth a :****: during the day because the reflector bowl was painted black by the company that made the lights.
at night you can see them no problem. so now trying to figure a replacement so the signal is seen during the day.....

thanks
I have actually been thinking about removing the neon underglow to replace it with a LED kit.

but man i got the wires an such for the neons ran threw the frame and everything is hidden an hard to re-do

but would be nice since LED wouldnt be as fragile for when I'm bagged

Hey sorry of this has been asked in the past few pages, but where did you get the clear corner reflector? Or did you pull it out of a black/clear set you had? I've been thinking about trying to take apart my amber ones, people are saying it can't be done but I'm still thinking about a way.

the stock style headlights either OEM or black/clear....the reflector is molded into the clear lense, so cant be removed. I was lucky to purchase a set of clear corner projectors from Ebay. and sold my old black/clears to a member on here

bringing my thread back to life...

so with my heads being painted from factory all black inside my front inner turn signal is pretty much useless as fock during the day, so was thinking about grabbing some amber side emitting LED strips and mounting them in the hood/bumper gap then wire to the turn signal would kinda look like my mock "paint" photo here:

Thoughts? yes, no?

Personally think it would look out of place. IF anything I would put them in the little "gills" on the frontal side of the bumper.

This, I feel like it would be a pain to open and close the hood with them there. I'd put them where Tanner says.

they'd be stuck to the bumper so no issue opening the hood...and the lil gills i feel too low and to the side. wouldnt do much use when looked at from head on

I would feel you still would be able to see them a decent mount from the front. Depending on how many LEDs are there.

This is a tough one! Since I have the same headlights I totally agree about the inner blinker being worthless.

If you were to put them into the "gills"'I think it would look good if done right. Would have to have some way to make it look like it's supposed to be there instead of just led strips stuck onto the bumper. My fabricating skills aren't that good!

The ram air spot would work pretty well except you have running lights in there or whatever they are.

I wanted to do some projector fogs w/ a halo ring that was white/yellow switchback that way it was white like my headlight halos and would blink yellow with the inner turn signal but I doubt I'll ever do that. Or just use two led rings like you did on the headlights not sure how well ccfls would work for blinkers. Plus you already have your custom LED fogs so I doubt you want to try anything with that.

Looks like we are running out of options. I agree the hood scoops would be hard to hide and run the wires without them being in the way when you open the hood.

I think the only spots available would be where you marked on the photoshop or maybe in the lower region below the plate filler. In that space... Or somehow come up with a way to make it look good on the mirrors.

I used to have RED Leds under the hood scoops and under the ram air nostrils and got tired of them....
Ive thought about runnin some white LED as DRLs exactly in the place tanner was talking about, on the lower side of the bumper... now how would that look?
