So the retro on the ga will be a little more difficult than that one but shouldn't be horrible since the projectors have a threaded shaft mounting them won't be the hardest part. |

I couldn't put into words why I really wasnt comfortable buying Osram CBI 5ks for the D2S 2.0s but a thread on HIDPlanet pretty much nailed it.
"It's like having a 600hp car but never going above 55mph." As in you are not getting the true potential of the bulbs since you have much better projectors out there to use. But then again not much can fit inside our headlights. The shrouds barely fit ffs with the mini projectors. Still might get the Osrams though. This is how they should look, he has the same bulbs and the D2S 2.0s http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/show...-CBI-Happiness

Does the temperature matter for primers? Everything I see always says use a high temp paint that can withstand the heat from the projectors.
Also those outputs look great and I agree do what you want it's your car I think the orsam bulbs had better coverage and looked more even with the beam pattern. |

Then register you jackass, it takes 30 seconds.
If you ever plan on doing the retro yourself you'll have to register.

Because you went the easy way and all you had to do was replace a projector.

Oven won't harm anything. This is an on-going fear people have when putting their headlights in the oven. It WILL NOT harm the headlight in any way as long as you put it at the right temp and time.

So preheat to the correct temperature then turn the oven off and then place the headlights or preheat and leave the oven on then put in the headlights?

I preheat and left it on otherwise it will cool down too much during the process I would think.
Also this guy is selling some FX-R 3.0's for $50 but you will need new lenses he says they both have damage. But $50 is a good price if you're wanting to tackle something a bit more difficult.
