No way to be sure until you order everything, to be honest. I would even order them as value shrouds, honestly they probably won't even have any noticeable scratches.
This might get some clarification. Re-looking at things I might just go with the GTI-R shroud. My mind is changing alot during this.

Starting to get annoyed posting on HIDPlanet. So many snobby elitist faggots who don't settle for anything but PERFECT lighting.

Ill agree with the 5000k. They look brighter.

Yea I agree although I haven't posted but just reading through there are a lot of people that won't even acknowledge the mini D2S or the H1. Their theory is that if it's not oem then it's not even worth doing. I agree that oem would be the best but the amount of fabrication for mounting and what not just seems like a pain. I know I don't have enough skill for something like that!

Yeah its also the fact that they're recommending for first time retrofitter to go for a much more advanced retrofit.

BTW Scott how did you like your D2S output once it was somewhat complete.

It's much better than stock that's for sure. I think the better bulbs would help too. But I was on a budget. Hopefully I'll upgrade them soon. Since I don't have anything to compare it to other than what the "experts" say it can be difficult to say if it's great. But it is much better than stock. I hate having my stock lights back in. The output is horrible.

So yeah looks like the 3.0s got delayed once again till next week so I'll be still waiting to see how road shots are for them. Seems like people like posting wall shots, to many people that jizz over sharp cutoffs and "colorbands."

Meanwhile I got some goodies for once I do the retrofit, changing the front turn signals all to amber LEDs. Probably will install them Sunday since its supposed to be 55 degrees and sunny.

Total bill $90 . Nothing compared to the $190 bill that it will be to convert my rears to LEDs.

Let me know how you like those 3157 bulbs I need some new ones. Mine are only forward facing so they reflect off of nothing and some are burnt out since I got those from oreillys. Also let me know how those resistors work out. Mine will occasionally shift off their contact and give me a fast blink. I might try and find one that is like a pigtail that plugs into the old bulb socket and has another bulb socket on the end. Either that or just solder it on.

Make sure you got 6ohm 50watt resistors and make sure the splice went all the way through. I don't know what route you went with resistors. I don't buy the mumbo jumbo that claim bulbs have a built in resistor.

These 3157s should be really good. SBL says the 18 and 45 SMD LEDs are the brightest LEDs they offer.

Hopefully the 5 SMD LEDs will fit, I test fit it on my old lights and there is like 1/32" space between the reflector and the LED

Here's an output shot of the 3157s.

Lol no, those wouldn't give the output you're looking for in a reverse light.

You want these:

Well 3.0s are out. They also renovated the site a little, nice looking. Loading a little slow to start out though.

I'm liking pictures of the 3.0s. Should order them soon. I'm going to wait a couple days seeing as the site is a little slow and have TRS say its good to go to order. Not to mention the O-Lens options both say RHD, was about to place my order then I reviewed the order and it said O-Len RHD. Also the Osram 66240 CBI's are backordered.

Curious to wonder how the square lens would look with our headlights. I don't think it would look TOO bad.

Here are some pictures of the 3.0s. Much better pictures then I was seeing on the thread.

Those look great! I've been checking daily waiting for them to finally get done with the site and put the 3.0's on there. Wish I had some extra cash to buy some... Maybe I can sweet talk the wife if we get some tax money back!
