Mac: that headliner is awesome. Nice interior work.

Aaron: it definitely does. Playing around in the snow with it, the back end swings around way quicker when I yank the e-brake. I kinda miss the loud "THUNK" sound my GAGT used to make when I pulled the e-brake while snow drifting.

all the mods you've done, i CANNOT believe you still have factory speakers . the sun visors are definitely a bizsh. i pretty much destroyed the driver side one. BUT now i know what NOT to do on the passenger side . the visors btw are literally paper. calling them cardboard would be too generous. i got the microsuede from joann fabrics. i got enough to do the headliner 2x and them some. only $26. the b/c pillar plastic trim is being a real pain. too many curves. i might just plastidip it black. oh and i got the sunroof panel out, thanks Tanner.
And thank You all for the compliments!

yeah, that's always a possibility too. They are a pain to get off though. Rear hub has to come off. I know someone said they did it without, but I don't see how. It wasn't possible on mine. I had to replace one because my factory brake shoe the pad disintegrated and fell off. I eventually did both sides so I could take the dust shields off and repaint them, and so they both had new shoes. Got 'em pretty cheap from rock auto and now they both have thick new brake shoes. My adjusters are turned almost all the way down now, so I have plenty of room to turn them out if they wear down.

I know this is off topic but does anyone know if the chrome trim around the windows on the doors can be removed or painted? If so how to do it? Mine is bending at the ends and kinda rusty.

You can paint them but make sure that you tape your car off really well with news paper and painters tape. I can't remember which member it was that had plastidiped his black.

Street Machines Limited; a car club formed in the 70s as an alternative to the pre48 clubs. It's still one of the major indy car clubs and has a pretty good representation of late models, so it would have made sense if you were one of them.

I haven't been down there in years; the local fuzz figured out 31 above stop 11 was pretty much a barrel full of fish, so it got to be more hassle than fun. I'd rather stop by the mug n bun or watch the esoteric stuff cruise the courthouse in noblesville.

Oh okay. Yeah I've never heard of that. I'm usually out at oreilly auto parts. Cops don't mess with us there. Southside mustangs pays oreilly for there lot on weekends. And I also go to rpm transmissions. Owner/Co worker is usually there so a cop can pull up while someone is doing a massive burnout and can't say anything about it. What's funny there is usually a cop who comes and hangs out there some nights. Real cool guy he doesn't really care what you do as long as you are not being a total idiot.

comparing plasti-dip to the suede. the p-dip was semi gloss and didn't fit between the suede headliner and rear shelf. but it would have BEEN SO MUCH EASIER

biggest PITA ever. made out of 20 little pieces of fabric. it's like a quilt. too many curves.

i haven't done it in this pic, but wipe it all the same direction with a microfiber and it looks perfect.

How hard was it to remove the headliner?

I've been wanting to try and wrap my headliner and rear deck with grey vinyl

I know quite a lot of people will have them covered in black vinyl. My friend had that done on the chrome trim on his 2000 BMW 323 ci, and my brother does that at his shop for a lot of his customers that want to black out chrome trim on their Mini Coopers.

The vinyl just goes over and they trim it and tuck the edges under the trim so it stays down good and looks pretty much factory, ie you can't tell the vinyl is there. The advantage of using vinyl is that you don't have to mask anything off or prep for paint, it's pretty durable, and if it does get damaged or fads over time it's cheap and easy to fix or replace it.

not hard. i have a coupe, so i took the passenger seat out and it came out easy then. once you drop it, you need to unplug the electrical connections while it's dangling by the wires. i had help, but i could have done it by self. would just take longer. PM when you're ready, i'll give you tips if you want.
Vinyl would be cool to see. cant wait!

the sunroof looks perfect. the A pillars look perfect. the headliner has those wrinkles, but that's on me b/c i left the old foam and used a hevy thick adhesive. probably would be perfect if i'd scraped the foam off headliner and used the glue. the C pillars are just tooo BIIIGGG to use a single piece of fabric on. they have too many curves. i hate how the c pillars turned out. but i got tired of fooling with them so i said screwit and did 20 odd pieces.

i put too much effort in this. i'd recommend p-dipping the a/b/c pillars. BUT somebody had to be the first .
