The d2s 3.0 looks good not as streaky as the fxr 3.0

Hope you get them soon I want to see some good output shots!

So I decided to take apart my old halo projectors just for fun, doubt I would of sold them anyway. Learning alot on how a projector/bulb seat goes together, so its helping alot. Headlights are baking in the oven as we speak.

This bad boy was the LED lighting up the halo , got some free 194 LEDs from the sides that I can use in the future for stuff.

I just tinted my reverse lights and was actually looking for good led bulbs since the tint hindered the stock output more then I'd like. I want to trust these to not explode like the eBay ones... should I?

Stock lens fits on the projector housings

Starting to think to just do these on the black housings straight up instead of practicing on the stock ones first. Will have to put stock ones back in though if I want to have headlights at all. Thats going to look nasty -.-

What does the back of those look like? The 1.2's like Trugreen and I did have a big hole in the back for the halogen projector to come through the housing. This made us not able to utilize the threaded shaft of the D2s projectors and had to come up with some other way to mount them. Or at least it did for me.

Also its good to see that you actually have a reflector for the turn signal ours is just painted black which makes it useless.

I'm not using these lights, I'm just messing around with them to get an idea for how the projector/housing/cut-off shield goes together, plus wanted to see the demon eye.

You wouldn't be able to utilize the threaded shaft on these either.

That's the thing I disliked most about the 1.2's is that I had to use a different mounting method. Which is why I screwed up my rotation. Also another reason why I was so eager to take them apart and redo the retro into a stock housing.

Hopefully I will be able to paint my stock housings the next warm day we have.

I think the demon eye will look great. You have probably already mentioned this but are you going to just paint the inside red? or use red LEDS to light the inside for the demon eye look?

Just painting the shield red. I was it to be subtle. Red LEDs is too much not to mention illegal.

If this projector is like the D2S then it shouldn't be hard to retrofit, Would just need to trim very very little to make this one fit. Hardest part I think will be fitting/trimming the shroud.

Hopefully there wont be much trimming needed but it seems doubtful with the shape of our reflector.

I hopefully will be able to do a custom fiberglass shroud for mine or at least attempt it....... Hopefully

In anticipation in seeing some people who got them early got pre-production projectors and it looks like I got the actual production ones so thats a good sign.

Really not sure if the GTi-R shrouds have enough depth to cover the whole area but we'll find out once I actually get the projector set it, there is like 1mm that needs to be cut to let the shaft fit through the hole.(Thats what she said)

Nevermind, me being a newbie I don't realize how much distance from an object affects the color flicker/band.
