I wouldn't black them out, but a light shade of tint wouldn't be bad. Definitely not blacked out.

I'd leave the lenses alone... I think the bright red pops nicely on white. I'd black out the chrome trim around them though. Either gloss black paint or vinyl overlay.

I'd do satin black around the lenses myself, but that black chrome isn't too bad. But I would also leave lenses alone

Or buy a small roll of vinyl tint and wrap them with that.. then they would be tinted chrome which also looks good. You could also spray them with Nightshades I believe its been done on chrome before.

Yes it has been done. But for 6.20 cents at home depot... you can have a can of plasti dip. And if you get tired of the black you can pull it right off without damaging the finish.

The finish on plasti dip won't look nearly as good as that though.
But yeah, you could straight up paint them or get them vinyl wrapped for cheap.

Well after a couple years of no winter duty, the truck is about to head down the road (one of the guy has to sell to have money to buy mine)... so I had to dig it out of the newest 6" of snow we have.
![]() I had to hand scoop the end of the alley, I don't leave it out on the street, but it's out there now and even took some alley with it when it came out stoopid winter! |

If turning a corner too sharp on an icy road and locking the rear brakes is power sliding, then yes.

Powerslide driving, a throttle-on induced oversteer. Initiating a drift (oversteer) by applying the throttle in a turn enough to make the rear wheels break traction and slide out
