I think your tire looks beefier with the BBS's for some reason.
Personally think its fine as is, wouldn't change a thing for a while.

Thanks tanner. I think the 8 inch wheel helps that... but they are slightly stretched. Not like honda stretched. But its noticeable. I wasnt aiming to stretch them but I also wasnt going to buy new tires when these have tons of life left. Plus I love these nitto tires.

If you where to put a percentage on stretched it would be 1%. I have the same tire and width. Only noticeable if you stare at the damn things without moving your eye. They're EVER so slightly. I would say its barely noticeable to the normal person.
I felt the same about my tires, if I still had my wheels but no tires I would of gotten 255/35 Michelin pilot super sports for lulz so the spacer wide stance would look better. It doesn't look funny atm but would look better with 255s. Not to mention I got tires with barely any miles on them so.. Regardless though a 225 is still a decent enough square stance with enough lip to protect the lip of the wheel. But then again the type and brand of tire you get will be wider then the other. ![]()

Yeah I see your point. And no need to protect the lip. Its called dont curb the wheels! Lol
Ive always been very cautious when it comes to curbs and hitting my wheels on it. My last 18s had em for 2 years and didnt have a scratch on em around the lip. Never hit a curb in them. Im gonna see what sizes I can get the nitto neo gens in now.

255/35 Invos or NT555s.
Best street tires they make, IMO. Or be stupid awesome and get Toyo Proxes R888s.

Lulz the tags.
And yeah. Im a big nitto fan. Always liked em. Those are some good suggestions. Now say you see a tire and one has a treadwear of say... 260. The other is 550.... I assume the 550 would last longer?

Basic rule of thumb with threadwear ratings is the higher it is, the "longer" it can last.
Most summer performance tires are usually a soft compound and have anywhere from 100-350. Usually higher treadwear tires have a harder compound. The harder the compound, the longer it can last, but grip is sacrificed.

It is not always a hard and fast rule to compare the tread wear number betwixt two different manufacturers; the designations as assigned by the manufacturers are relative the other offerings in their own product lines. Stated another way, a Yoko with a rating of 400 will probably wear at a different rate than a Mich with a rating of 400, all other variables held constant.

Right. Im talking Nitto only. The nt555 is 300 tread rating. The invos are 260 rated.

You won't be able to go 255/40, period.
BTW its nice to have the lip protection, it looks nice and protects the lip IF something where to happen, I can see you wouldn't need it since you don't drive your sht for sht. Not to mention your tires have the lip protection.

True haha. And yeah I was just looking for various tires in various sizes. Thank you for letting me know that 40 wont fit.

If you like Nitto, look into Toyos. Toyo owns Nittos.
Plus their higher end of Proxes tires are awesome. Look up the RA1, R1R and T1 Sport. The R888 is a street legal competition tire. The best you can get IMO.

That's not completely true. There is some variation between manufacturers, but the tread wear rating is based off a standardized test, so you can still use it as a comparison on tires from different manufacturers. It's not perfect, but it should be close enough. Here's an explanation from tire racks website. Quote:
