This. I own a Corvette and love it, but I still have plans and parts that need to be installed for the Grand Am. I don't intend on getting rid of it until I finish it the way I wanted it. Plus I like to use my Grand Am as a learning tool in case I decide to start modding the Vette. I'd feel much worse screwing up something on the Vette than I do the GA. Plus parts are so damn expensive for the Vette.

Under powered v6, poor mans 4.6 with no options, known 5.7 Hemi, brand new 6.4 Hemi that was out of my range, or a cummins. First ever back to back truck of the year...hmmm

To each their own. He asked for opinions, and all current owners got their pants in a tizzy because they don't know what's it's like to move on. You'll get a new car one day, might still have the alero, but you'll like the change of scenery and realize that the change is quite nice.

I agree I will have another car.. or more. But the alero will still be my unique toy. Who knows I may have 2 toys down the road. But the alero will not be the DD.

No doubt I know how to move on but theres a difference in moving on and actually wanting to finish what you started, like I said though, if I didn't have the SC/T kit, front bumper, bumper moldings/badges sitting next to me in my room I would of got that ST. Probably not that specific one though because the RF wheel on it was fking thrashed and no telling what other part of the car was thrashed, only 2600 miles too, sad. There was a Molten Orange one that had 600 more miles and was in much better condition.

And then proceed to hear the thrashings of me buying a Fiesta

Then why didn't you just keep the Honda and trade the TA, it had better resale, better aftermarket, just as fun a car, cheaper to mod

Depends how far in you are. If you have the parts and losing interest, why bother spending the cash to continue? That's what I did with my civic. I had just lost all interest to continue.

Yeah I understand, but thats the thing about it though. Everytime I was like, "I love this ST, these seats, the weight, the power is intoxicating." But all I could think about in the end was wanting to finish putting the SC/T kit on. I had the strong urge in my head that I didn't want to trade my car in when I really want to see it with the kit on before anything else. Then that'll just refresh my love for the car seeing as the kit makes the car look clean as fk.

Not denying that. At the end of the day for me, had 3 times the amount of reasons to move on than keep it.

Honestly... my first car could have been a red 03 durango R/T. I still love those things. Awd 330 hp 5.9L V8!!! Thing had balls. Mom said I could buy it off her if I wanted. I really considered it... but the thing got 11 mpg stock in town and maybe 13 highway. Had to pass on that.... but man was it a fun suv to drive!!!
