Good luck fitting that under your hood. Magnuson products used to make those drive extensions (don't know if they still offer them or not), but they only offered them in 2" increments and the longest off the shelf one they had was shorter than the one on the grand am kit. The grand am piece was a custom length. If you needed anything on an in between size or longer than that, it had to be custom ordered. No idea what the price on something like that is. Then you still have to make brackets and inlet/outlet casting or welded manifolds.

Once, a long time ago. It was winter too, so roads kinda sucked. My brother got married at Fontana dam though so I was there again in the spring, but I only had my daily driver grand prix with me. The grand am had it's engine apart at the time (bummer), and the grand prix developed a water pump leak on the way up there. That sucked.

My brother co-hosts the "Mini's on the dragon" meet down there every spring, and him and my parents are going down there next week.

A snout 2" shorter might work but I am not sure, once I saw the engine bay had to be cut to make another belt system fit I thought hey I could do that but when the height of it showed I needed no hood or at least a 6" cowl to make it work I passed on it. ZZP had two of those kits at their shope and that would be a steep cowl hood, pretty much starting at the hood latch.

They are tall, he is a shot off the car from when I had my hands on it.

Yep, that's the problem with squeezing a S/C into these cars. The 60 degree engine is narrow and tall, which makes it hard to fit an S/C on top between the cylinder banks. A setup like that with the S/C blowing directly into a modified manifold will only work on something with a deeper engine bay like a van/suv. The grand am hood is too close to the engine. It's never gonna work.

Jaguar has a really nice setup on their supercharged V6 where they have basically an M90 blower between the cylinder heads underneath the intake manifold. The outlet faces up and blows up into the intake and it has laminova intercooler cores integrated into the manifold. It's very compact and efficient... but their v6 is a 90 degree block, and the S/C casing is cast into the manifold.

Looking good Jake, Love the black and white contrast.

Had to take the car out for a little spin today. Came to the conclusion that I've waited long enough for the exhaust to be put on. But first I need to order a 3" electric cut out.

i HIGHLY recommend you go to maryland speed's website and order doug's electric cutout. WAY BETTER design than the other style.

i've got the other style on my GA and it sounds like an exhaust leak even when it's completely closed.

the doug's style cutouts on my g8 are absolutely sealed and silent when closed.

The passenger hanger is missing. Been missing since they day I bought it. I plan on having that fixed when the LT's are put on.

They do make an over lay, but I think I'll leave it the way it is for now. Mark is on his honeymoon and has been for over a week. He said he would have an update for us this coming monday.

I'll check them out, but I'm still debating if I want to do it. I've finally been doing research on the H/C/I for my car and might just ditch the cut out idea and use the money for those. But there are so many freaking choices on heads its making my own head spin.

From what I've been reading. Going with 243 heads with perimeter bolt covers, an LS6 intake and torquer v3 cam is a great street set up with a tune and exhaust. So I might look into that more.
