dealerships will be brand biased on what they service but small shops should work on anything. i don't and have never taken any of my cars to a dealership. if it comes down to it there are a couple small local places i go to.

Remember I live in a town with 707 people. 1 car shop. American only. I don't want to tow an import 75 miles everytime I need to get it fixed.

Honestly, I think Grand Ams are very easy and cheap to fix. Especially if you know how to do some stuff yourself. They are a piece of cake to work on compared to some cars. They aren't the highest quality cars on the road from that time period though by far, and aren't always dependable. Some are, and some aren't. Just the luck of the draw and how they were maintained. Some things tend to go bad more easily, and others are rock solid.

There are not too many vehicles that you can do Head Gaskets on for $300 if you do it yourself, that is gaskets, fluids and sending the heads to the machine shop to make sure they are true still. Rotors and pads are cheap, wheel hub assemblies are cheap, well under $100 each for me. The most expensive part is tires do to the not so common size.....

I had to change the EGR on the wife's Chrysler Town & Country and that was a bitch, I had to take the passenger tire off, fender lining out, belt off, alt off just to get to two of the screws for replacing the EGR valve that was stuck open. That would been a 15min job on the Grand Am.

Needs to be lowered, with a bomb strapped to the underside. And the owner shot and set on fire inside that heap of ****.

Looks nasty (the bad way). If you're gonna get painted rims, I think it should have at least 5 spokes and be a little smaller.

How can I convince my dad to let me get a loaner car? Biking 4.5 miles uphill to my house at 10:30 at night isn't fun.

Lol no way. 22s on almost anything is retarded. I mean. You get a sporty set of 22's sure. But you get them ghetto fab wheels. Nope.
