IMHO you can cross off all the 3" pads. you can also cross off the backplate because the PC comes with one. also spray detailer comes with the clay kit. other than that it looks like a pretty solid list.

Like I said the 3" pads are not necessary but I loved having them. It'll only add about $15. They were just very helpful for me so I thought I'd add them as a suggestion. But you can definitely get by without them, it's just easier with them. |

Metall, an easy way to dry the pads is to put them on the buffer and let it spin (after squeezing the pads out). That's how we used to do it at the detailing shop I worked at, since we couldn't exactly wait 4-6 hours for the pads to dry fully. We had a bucket pad washer, but it was a hassle. I preferred to use a pressure washer to clean them, but the sink works good too.

). I need a second coat on the GA since there was nothing for wax and it sits outside, but it beads up nicely. It does go on very greasy.

Are you sure it comes with a backing plate? I thought you needed to get a backing plate separate or buy a kit deal. I bought mine as a kit so I don't know for sure what you get when you order just the DA.

well made some money today with the PC. did a 8 hour, FML, detail on my mother in laws 2011 Altima. full interior and exterior. I didn't get as many pics as I should have for 2 reasons. 1, it was way to freaking hot today and I just wanted to get it done, 2, she showed up to pic up her car before it was done so I was pretty rushed at the end. all in all I think it turned out really well. its a very deep blue now. in the pics the front bumper is going to look dirty, I promise its not. its missing paint from paint chips, and her banging into crap.
cup holders with god only knows what caked into them. very gross and sticky ![]() and after ![]() before correction ![]() and after ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

You're very blind.
Most cars come from factory with orange peel so to me its only actual orange peel if you can literally feel the bumps. Very rarely have I seen a car in the lot with glass smooth, non "ridgy" looking paint.

nice picture chaos, looking good
aj that is ABSOULUTLY orange peel in the paint. your not blind, you actually have a good eye, unlike others who like to criticize without knowing what their talking about. there was actually a lot of orange peel in the paint. more than I've seen in the paint in a while. a 2013 dodge caravan was also pretty bad.

Walked around the car to see what else I would need. Well got down low and looked at the paint on the bottom of the doors, and they are covered in this ****. They look like fine scratches, or possibly even some sort of paint. They won't come off while washing or clay barring.
Thoughts? ![]() |

Looks like a scuff to me. I've had really good luck getting scuffs out with the PC and a cutting pad.

Simple job but thought I'd share what I did today anyway.
My sister got side swiped all the way down the side of her car, no note left or anything, just swipe n run. We're guessing it was an Avalanche because it hit the mirrior too which broke the physical mirrior but the shell was still in tact thankfully since the whole shell is around $650 from factory, so we only had to buy a $40 mirror. Thankfully all it was where scuffs and nothing else, no dents or anything. Like I said, very easy job, anyone could do it but thought I'd share. forgot to take a picture of the scuff on the mirror. Disregard the lighting in the after photos, I moved the car in the shade before I buffed sot he lighting changed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
