Yes, they came with the car as well as the scoops. They were never hooked up though, I removed them and they had wires coming out the back. I believe the guy before me had underglow on it as well. It was "riced out" when we bought it, but back in 2004 it was considered "cool".

I removed all of that and put the black inserts you see in the second picture.

In my ideal world I would love to remove the trellis frame and paint it a dark blue but in order to paint it I would need to disassemble the entire bike and thats not going to happen. 796's(which came with the red frame) came stock with white fairings as well and it looks really nice with the red frame.

If I had the 696 with the black frame I would of gotten their "Italy Blue" which is a beautiful dark blue but that blue with a red frame would clash too much.

It will end up looking like this, the contrast looks nicer then you would think, not everyones cup of tea but I love it and alot of others prefer it as well.

I was debating on either painting the Brembo calipers red with the "Brembo" in white, calipers in red with the "Brembo" brushed, or keep the caliper how it is and just paint the "Brembo" red which is what I probably will do. Caliper white with the "Brembo" red wouldn't look to bad now that I think about it but probably a little too tacky.

I know there is an ass load of carbon fiber pieces you can do to the engine, dunno if I'll go that route.

It's not bad, but not my cup of tea for sure. But I'm sure you'll have it a while and things will change over time.

If I have it as long as I hope I still would really love to get the frame powdercoated dark blue, that would be very unique since many don't take on the task because of what you need to do to get it off.

Powder the wheels white wouldn't look too bad either. White wheels on motorcycle look good.

I wonder how the wheels would look with white spokes and the dark blue rim/lip

That's not on your bike, and I'm struggling to figure out why.

Soon enough.

Found a picture of my actual wheels in white.

Here's one pic of the panels installed. I'll get a full shot in the sun tomorrow. Can't get good shots under this light.

Man how long does it take for my car to get fixed?? Brought it in on Monday morning. Now it's Saturday. All I needed was to fix a vacuum line and an reconnect an airbox tube.

We all know the abilities of the mechanics in your town. Not sure of they can manage a job like that.
