She hasnt been driven since November 2014..


Im hoping to drive her may 1st.... Thats my goal. If i had headers, it would be today. But havent got those yet.

Where have you been? I pulled the engine out of the car last november and put a new transmission in the car, along with a new clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, coolant tank, lower control arms, rack and pinion, inner/outer tie rods, evap purge valve solenoid, sway bar end links, spark plugs, wires, headers, downpipe, all new fluids. Yeah... Haha


Just waiting on the headers to be finished, then i can install those, put all fluids in, and then start her up for the first time this year.

That was... Informative.

I obviously know a little. But things like the evap purge valve or whatever he said is something I have no clue on. Come on, I've done a cai to stock swap all by myself!! It was a pita because I had to take the fender liner out from under the wheel. And it still started after I got done! I will call that a success for the stupid little man!

Hey, I didn't know much at your age either. It just takes time and experience. And there's way more on the internet now than there was when I was a kid, so it's much easier to find information. If you really want to learn automotive stuff, there are plenty of resources you can use to teach yourself.

Echoing Aaron, it's not time for you to know half of what we know, I'm over twice your age, so, unless I'm a mouth breathing cousin fukcing r-tard, which I may in fact be, I had better know more about you simply due to breaking stuff and having to fix it for more years than you've been alive

Whew... That's actually kind of a relief. But some people see me as some kind of car guru (I know..) and ask me to "fix" their car sometimes. It can range from "Ben how do I turn my fog lights on?" All the way to "my key wont come out!". Literally those were actual things people asked me for help on. All I had to do to the fog lights was turn a knob, and for the key thing all I had to do was turn the key to off. THEY HAD IT IN THE ACCESSORY POSITION THE WHOLE TIME.

No colleges close to me, and no there is not auto class for my high school. There's only a handful of elective classes to start with, and most of them are agriculture related.

I think we used to have an auto class in the early 2000s, but the teacher left and was replaced by someone who doesn't know stuff about cars.
